Stampin' Up! Floral Boutique DSP Birthday Butterfly Card and Decorated Gift Bag

Love the classic Navy and White colour combo in the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! (on sale this month). It looks great with a pop of bright colour, but also suits a more subtle colour combination like I have used on today's birthday card.

It's been a while since I have pulled out my Elegant Butterfly punch, and I was reminded how simple it is to create a card using it. The Floral Boutique product suite also includes matching Washi tape, which makes coordinating the elements on this card an absolute breeze.

I've also used the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper to decorate one of our Petite Cafe bags. These kraft bags (on page 176 in the 2016 Stampin Up Annual Catalogue) come in packs of 10 for just $10.50. They are lined and food safe too. Perfect to package biscuits or any type of yummy treat :)

It's lots if fun to embellish these bags with trims and clips and stamping. You can view all of the products I have used in the links at the end of the post.

Stampin' Up! Candy Cane Lane DSP meets Star of Light

I'm a big fan of using Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper. It's the colour coordination with our inks and cardstock which first attracted me as a scrapbooker. No more searching for the perfect cardstock colour! It's also of course great for cardmaking for exactly the same reason.

Here's a card I have made using the Candy Cane Lane DSP from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue. 

Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso are a great colour combination and I love copper with it this year. The Candy Cane Lane DSP actually has Real Red, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Whisper White but it coordinates perfectly with these colours I think. I've also used the Coordinating Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape and some Cherry Cobbler twine.

Stampin' Up! 12x12 Scrapbooking Layouts using the 2016 Holiday Catalogue Products.

Today some of my Art with Heart Stampin’ Up! team girls are sharing some fun and fabulous ideas to inspire you from our brand new Holiday Catalogue available now until 3rd January 2017. Be sure to request your copy of the catalogue today!

You have come to my blog from the very talented Rachel Woollard. Blogs are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post is a link to the next. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

I have decided to show you a double Christmas 12x12" scrapbooking layout to show you how many of the Holiday Catalogue products can also be used in Scrapbooking (double click for a closer look). I LOVE Christmas and love when it's time to decorate the house and tree each year. I like to capture bits and pieces which get added to the collection each year and how the house looks. Just looking at this layout makes me excited for this years Christmas. I can't wait to add the new ornaments I bought in Paris to the tree this year!

 

Here's a closer look at each page individually. I have used the Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper and Washi Tape for my layout, and my base cardstock is the coordinating Mint Macaron from the 2015-17 InColour 12x12 cardstock pack.

 

 

Here's a few little details of my layout. I created my own little photo descriptions on my computer as strip journaling. A bit of coiled Gold bakers twine (from the Bakers Twine Trio Pack in the Holiday Catalogue). Love the weight of this twine - perfect for using in this way. That's one of the stamped greetings from the Star of Light stamp set stamped and sitting over the twine. You can also catch a glimpse of one of the die cut Christmas words from the Christmas Greetings thinlits which I have used to embellish my page. I'm a big fan of using words on pages as they really set the scene for the emotion I hope my page conveys,

 

The greetings in the Star of Light stamp set are perfect for using on a Christmas scrapbooking layout. I stamped them in coordinating Mint Macaron ink and attached using the Presents and Pinecones Washi tape. I have used the Washi tape in lots of other places as well. It coordinates perfectly with the DSP and colours (which is why I LOVE scrapbooking with Stampin' Up! products) and I find it's great to fill spaces and create flow through the layout. This is especially important in double page layouts.

 

The Starlight Thinlit dies which coordinate with the Star of Light Stamp set make fabulous embellishments. I have cut this one using Copper foil cardstock and a layer of Vellum. The piece in the middle is a White Perfect Accents shape, coloured with a bronze Sharpie. Looks great with the Copper Foil I think.

 

I'm a fan of using coordinating colour enamel shapes to highlight journaling strips. Love you can get these packs of enamel shapes in our colour groups. I'm always reaching for them.

 

I did my title on the computer. It's easy to find the RGB codes for our Stampin' Up! colours using a Google search, and that's how I often print my titles for scrapbook pages if I'm not stamping them.

 

I hope this has given you some ideas for getting some memories down on paper today. Scrapbooking is such a rewarding hobby and I have been doing it for over 14 years now and so grateful to have so many fabulous family memories captured.

Stampin' Up! Santa's Sleigh Thinlit Dies

Here's a super cute set of Christmas Thinlit dies to use with your BigShot or other die cutting machine. They are called the Santa's Sleigh Thinlits and you can find them in the 2016 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue. 

For this first card I have used the reindeer thinlit with some Christmas themed washi tape from the Presents and Pinecones product suite.

It was a quick and simple card to make. The reindeer is cut from Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and that's Cherry Cobbler twine around the neck. I've popped him up with dimensionals, and the base card is Cherry Cobbler. I have finished the card off with a greeting stamped in Emerald Envy.

My second card uses the sleigh thinets in the set. I have cut the base sleigh in Mint Macaron, and the second layer in Dazzling Diamonds gimmer paper. I handcut the presents from the Presents and Pinecones Desghner Series Paper

The embossing folder I have used on the one is Pretty Paisleys Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. You can see all the products I have used today by clicking on the product links under my signature below.

Stampin' Up! Perfectly Wrapped Stamp Set with Pop of Pink DSP - Bright and Cheery!

Hello! Let's brighten things up with some bright and cheery cards shall we? Gold is still so on trend and it looks fabulous when combined with black and white and bright pink, as we have in the Stampin' Up! Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper and matching Pop of Pink Washi tape. The bold Perfectly Wrapped stamp set is a great match for these papers. It's super simple to put together a bright and cheery card like this for you card. Imagine giving this bright and happy card to a friend with a bunch of bright pink and yellow and orange Gerbera flowers?

My second card is a birthday card. Super quick and simple with the bright elements. The daisies look great stamped on the background too don't you think?

The Perfectly Wrapped stamp set is designed to go with the project kit of the same name, but as you can see it works great on it's own as well.
