Stampin' Up! Leaf Fall Embossing Folder and the Sponged Embossing Technique.

Off White Clean and Simple Email Sign Up Instagram Post (940 x 630 px) (1)

Hello stampers. Today I have a quick and easy technique for you, but one that can create a real WOW effect with your embossing folders. I have used the Leaf Fall embossing folder from the 2022 Stampin' Up! July to December Mini Catalogue.

Stampin Up sponged Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder. Claire daly, Australia.

I started by embossing a piece of Shimmery White cardstock in the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. Then added colour with sponge daubers tapped onto my ink pads. I started with Soft Sea Foam, and then I added in some Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze ink on part sections of the embossing. My sentiment is from the Ringed with Nature stamp set, and is stamped in Early Espresso. The embossed piece is mounted onto a mat of Early Espresso and then onto an Old Olive base card. Finally I added a bow using a length of Linen Thread, and the Gold Trim from the Simply Elegant Trim Pack.

I really like the earthy colour combination for this card.

Stampin Up Texture Chic Suite / Season of Chic Thinking of You Card

Today's card uses one of my favourite suites from the 2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue; the Texture Chic Suite. I love the vintage vibes in this set and the many opportunities for layering. The stamp set has a really good range of sentiments too, which makes it a versatile one to add to your collection (get the bundle with the coordinating dies and save 10% on both).

Stampin Up Season of Chic / Texture Suite Thinking of You Card by Claire Daly, SU Demonstrator Australia

The Texture Chic Designer Series Paper is a specialty paper and has gold foiled highlights on one side. This coordinates really well with the gorgeous Distressed Gold Specialty Paper which is also part of this suite. This image shows the foiling better.

Soft Succulent and Petal Pink are just two of the gorgeous colours which you will find in this suite. I love the wide variety of dies in the bundle, especially the netting and the dies which have an outline and a solid section to layer. So much opportunity to create texture.

For my embellishments, I have added in the Elegant Faceted Gems and some Linen Thread. My sentiment (from the Season of Chic stamp set)  is embossed in gold.

Stampin' Up! Grassy Grove Bundle Thinking of You Card

Off White Clean and Simple Email Sign Up Instagram Post (940 x 630 px) (1)

Hello friends. Today I wanted to show and give you step by step instructions for a handmade thinking of you card that I made with the Grassy Grove bundle from the 2022 Stampin' Up! January to June Mini Catalogue.

Here's today's card. I really love how it turned out. I have only used the Grove dies part of the bundle here, but I know I will use both parts of the bundle, so I wanted to save the 10% on both (yes demonstrators get these discounts too, as well as an extra 20-25% off at least!).

Step by Step Instructions for Grassy Grove Card (all products used are linked at the end of the post)

  1. Start with a side folding standard size Crumb Cake card base (for Australia that's 1/2 an A4 sheet cut vertically and folded / burnished with bone folder in the middle.
  2. Cut a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock 1/4 cm smaller on all sides than the base card (for Australia the measurement for the Evergreen Cardstock would be 10cm x 14.3cm).
  3. Centre the large grove die onto the Evergreen layer and die-cut.
  4. Insert the die cut piece into the Bark embossing folder and run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine again. Make sure you do the embossing last, otherwise the die-cutting will flatten the embossing.
  5. Cut a piece of the New Horizons DSP 1/4 cm smaller on all sides than the Evening Evergreen piece (for Australia that would be 9.5cm x 15.8 cm). Attach this to the base card with Multipurpose Glue or Stampin' Seal.
  6. Attach the die-cut and embossed Evergreen Elegance card over the top of the New Horizons DSP using Multipurpose Glue or Stampin' Seal.
  7. Cut the two deer from a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock and use a sponge dauber to apply some Crumb Cake ink to the very edges of each deer.
  8. Attach the deer to the left of the grove opening as shown (I used Dimensionals to attach)
  9. Stamp the Thinking of You sentiment from the Special Moments stamp set (pictured and linked below), in Evening Evergreen onto a Shimmery White cardstock strip 1.8cm (just under 3/4" wide). Using this width allows you to punch the ends using the amazing Lovely Labels Pick a Punch (pictured and linked below).
  10. Attach the sentiment to the card with Dimensionals and then attach a double bow of linen thread.

Stampin Up Australia: Cinnamon Cider Thinking of You Card using Quiet Meadow Bundle

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logo

Hello friends. Today I am participating in my Art with Heart Team Colour Creations Blog Hop. I'm so luck to have a team full of amazing creative people who love to create and share with each other, and who jump in and run activities like this for our team. It's so fun!

This week's colour is Cinnamon Cider, one of the 2020 InColors. I really love this gorgeous mid brown colour. It really does remind me of a comforting warm drink.

C Cider

Here is a Thinking of You card I came up with for today's challenge. It was made much easier by using one of the Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories and More Cards in the new Stampin' Up! Australia July to December Mini Catalogue. The rest of my card uses the Quiet Meadow Bundle from the 2020 Annual Catalogue.

Stampin Up Quiet Meadow Thinking of You Card. 2021 card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

I used Early Espresso ink to stamp one of the stamps from the Quiet Meadow stamp set onto the left of the label shape on the pre-printed base card. This stamp set coordinates well with the distressed vintage look of the base card I think.

Stampin Up Quiet Meadow Thinking of You Card. 2021 card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

I die cut some of the stems from the Meadow Dies, in Crumb Cake and Night of Navy and arranged these a little to the right of the stamping. I adhered them in a couple of places with glue dots.

Stampin Up Quiet Meadow Thinking of You Card. 2021 card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

To finish off my card, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and die cut it with the label shape in the Meadow Dies. Before I adhered it with Dimensionals, I coiled a little Natural Linen Thread underneath (I adhered this with some tape).

Let's see what the rest of our team has created with Cinnamon Cider. Next up we have Caroline Manwaring in rural NSW. Caroline always makes the most elegant cards.

Stampin' Up! Masculine Card with Mountain Air with Cajun Craze

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logo

Hello friends. This week the Colour Creations ladies in the Art with Heart Team are playing with Cajun Craze. This is one of my least used Stampin' Up! colours, so it definitely was a challenge. Once I got the idea though, away I went.

119790o01

I wanted to create a card for a very sick relative overseas. We enjoyed time together on their trip to Australia several years ago, so I wanted to come up with a card that let him know I was thinking of him at this very hard time, and that perhaps reminded him a little of Australia. Cajun Craze definitely is the colour of some of the Australian outback, and the Kimberley region especially.

Masculine Thinking of You card using Stampin Up Mountain Air and Ink Blending Technique. Card by Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

I have used the Mountain Air stamp set from the 2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, to create several layers of mountains by stamping in Early Espresso onto Cajun Craze and die cutting with the coordinating Majestic Mountain dies. I love the dimension you can achieve with these two products. The trees are from the same stamp set and dies, and my greeting from the Quiet Meadow stamp set.

I adhered these pieces onto a layer of shimmery white which I had applied ink using my blending brushes. The lowest area near the mountain range is Calypso Coral, then I blended in some Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, and lastly some Misty Moonlight at the very top and edges. The birds from the stamp set were stamped in Misty Moonlight too.

I then mounted this piece onto some Cajun Craze cardstock, and an Early Espresso base card. I'm really pleased how this card turned out. There was a lot of love put into it, and I think it looks quite peaceful. You can view all of the products I have used in this card using the links at the end of the post.

Here's a summary of the Stampin' Up! colour combination I have used today.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the other Art with Heart Team girls have made using Cajun Craze. next up we have the lovely Caroline Manwaring who is very creative! Let's see what she has made for us.
