Introducing nine brand NEW Stampin' Up! InColors and Core Colours for 2023

I'm so excited Stampin' Up! has introduced four brand new core colours and five brand new 2023-25 InColors as part of the 2023 colour refresh. These colours will be available to purchase from Tuesday May 2nd.

One of the first things I like to do when the new colours come out, is to compare them with current or past Stampin' Up! colors.

Stampin' Up! New Colours 2023

Let's look at the four new core colours first. I think my favourites at first glance are Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly, but the others are very nice too!

Now let's have a look at the new 2023-25 InColors. My two favourites here so far are Pebbled Path and Wild Wheat, but I know the others will grown on me quickly as they always do. Earthy colours are so on trend right now! I have made 2 colour comparisons for each colour here as there were so many colours I wanted to compare them with.

Stampin Up Retiring Lists 2023 (also called Last Chance Lists now)

Hey friends. As I mentioned yesterday, it's time to say goodbye to some products and colours.

The lists of products from these two current catalogues (2023 Annual Catalogue and 2023 January to April Mini Catalogue) have just been released.

  • You can purchase any of these from today and they are only available while stocks last.
  • There will be a "Last Chance" section in the store until April 4th (but just purchase before hand if you want using code or name to search).
  • When there is a sale price listed, the sale price doesn't take effect until April 4th. Very important: if you are ordering online, you will need to start a new order after April 4th for sale prices to take effect.
  • If there are things which aren't on sale after 4th April - grab them now to be sure.
  • I expect any of retiring colour products and the Stamparatus to go fast. Maybe some others as I haven't had a close look at the list myself yet. I'll be back with my 'picks' of the retiring lists.

2023 Stampin' Up! Colour Refresh Coming Soon / Retiring Products

Stampin' Up! Colour Refresh

Stampin' Up! colour is about to get a shake up with a colour refresh coming soon!

Copy of Colour refresh coming soon (1000 × 1500 px)

We don't know what the new colours are yet, and which ones are retiring, but all of that information will be announced on March 30th in Australia.  I'll be letting my subscribers and posting here as soon as we know, so make sure to Subscribe to my email news, or follow my blog posts by email (sign up in the sidebar) to keep up with all the news.

Stampin' Up! are all about staying relevant and setting trends, plus filling in any gaps our current offering might have. We always introduce 5 new InColors each year, and they stay around for 2 years. This colour refresh goes beyond that though and will retire some of the core colours too and bring in new ones (some completely new, some are bringing back favourite InColors from past years). I can't wait to see! The last time we had a colour refresh was 2018, so it will be fun to have more new colours to play with.

If you are interested in learning all about some great Stampin' Up! colour comparisons and colour combinations, I have a Pinterest board with over 700 pins to give you lots of ideas. This is where I will also be posting combinations, comparisons and colour samples with the new 2023 colours, so it's a great one to follow. Stampin' Up! Retiring Product Lists 2023

On the same day the new colours are announced, we will be announcing the Stampin' Up! retiring products from both the 2022/23 Annual Catalogue and the 2023 January to April Mini Catalogue. Both of these catalogues will be ending at the end of April, and the new 2023/24 Annual Catalogue will be available to purchase from early May. Subscribe to stay in the loop and receive emails with the lists attached.

Stampin' Up! Sending Smiles and Bottled Happiness Birthday Card with 2 Masking Techniques

Hello my creative friends.

Today I have a bright and happy birthday card for you, featuring two stamp sets from the 2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue: Sending Smiles and Bottled Happiness. My card also features two different ways to use masking.

Stampin' Up! Sending Smiles and Bottled Happiness Birthday Card with Masking Technique

I really like this bright and happy colour combination with the crisp white.

Stampin Up Color / Colour Combo Orchid Oasis, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Basic White

The first place I have used the masking technique is to create the illusion of the stem of the flower being inside the bottle. I have a video showing you these techniques and I will  I will link to this below. Here's a description of what I did though: I stamped the bottle from Bottled Happiness in Orchid Oasis, and then stamped one onto masking paper and cut that out to cover the stamped image. Then I stamped the stem of the flower 'into' the bottle. Once the masking paper is removed, only the stem above the bottle is showing.

The second masking technique was used on the sentiment. As you can see below, the Sending Smiles stamp set has lots of sentiment strips. You can also make additional sentiments by masking part of the sentiments and combining with others. In my card I masked off the 'big hugs' words from the 'love & big hugs' sentiment. I also masked off 'smiles' in the 'smiles across the miles' sentiment. The video below shows you in more detail how I did this.

Here's the masking video. There are 5 different cards featured in the video, but the instruction for this one starts at 17:03.

Introducing NEW Stampin' Up! 2022 InColor Parakeet Party

Hello friends. Today we are looking at another new InColor, Parakeet Party. This one is a bright yellow green which is fun to play with!

Here's how it looks with some of the other current Stampin' Up! colours.

Stampin Up Parakeet Party new 2022 InColor

I have made a bright and happy 'Just for You' card to showcase this colour. I have used the current Brilliant Wings Dies (also in a bundle with Butterfly Brilliance stamp set) to create the layered butterflies. I really like the softness of Soft Sea Foam with Parakeet Party.

The Designer Series Paper I have used is Tea Boutique, a 6x6" pack which will be available on May 3rd. I have also used some of the 2022-24 InColor Assortment DSP (this one is Orchid Oasis) under my sentiment label. My sentiment is from the current set Celebrating You (in the 2022 January to June Mini Catalogue and carrying over to the new catalogue).

Another 'coming soon' product I have used is the 2022-2024 InColor Matte Decorative Dots. I will be using these a lot. You can also see I have used the Stylish Shapes Dies (also coming on May 3rd) again. Love these banner shapes which are quick and easy to cut using the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

Here's a look at my colour combination for this card.

Stampin Up Colour / Color combination using Parakeet Party, Soft Sea Foam and Orchid Oasis.

I had a Soft Sea Foam butterfly left over, so I made another quick note card using another sheet of the Tea Boutique DSP. I love the simple monochromatic look of this card. I think I will use it as a simple 'hello' note card, and I didn't feel it needed a sentiment.

Colour Creations Showcase Week 48: So Saffron

106922496_10159992931478098_1171141180047246582_n

Hello friends. I'm finding myself with a little more creative time at the moment, so I am excited to be able to participate in some of the creative challenges with my Art with Heart team girls. This week's colour challenge is So Saffron, a very muted yellow and to be honest not one I have created with much in the last year.

Here is my card. I chose to use the beautiful new Hand-Penned Petals bundle. By stamping off (stamping once on scrap paper and then onto your card without reinking) the Polished Pink and Soft Succulent once each, I came up with a soft colour combination using So Saffron.

Here's the colour combination if you want to Pin It for future reference.

Stampin Up Color Combination 2021 InColors. Polished Pink, Soft Succulent, So Saffron and Basic Gray

One of the things I LOVE about this new bundle is it's designed for the stamping to be imperfect! I love the fresh vintage look you get when you stamp the solid colours for the leaves and flowers, and they don't quite fit perfectly. This really suits my style of stamping. I stamped the flowers and the sentiment in Basic Gray to tie in with the softer colour combination.

I have used the scalloped edge die from the coordinating Penned Flower Dies to create the left side edging. The flowers are two of the largest flower bunch, placed together. Here's a look at the Hand-Penned suite. You can buy the suite together (which includes 10% discount on the bundle), the bundle with a 10% discount, or individual components of the suite. All the product links for today's project are at the end of the post.

I have used a couple of other new products on my card too. My sentiment is from a great new stamp set with 11 sentiments, called Inspired Thoughts. I really love the font in this set. I have also used a great new die set called Encirled in Beauty, and there is just a peek of one of the decorative circle shapes poppng out unter the sentiment. This is going to be one of my favourite die sets for sure.

Here's a look at these two products (links at the end of the post will take you to these products in my online store). First the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set.

These are the new Encircled in Beauty Dies. The largest die in the set is 9.8 x 9.8cm, so they are perfectly sized for card fronts.
