Oh So Succulent Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! - Perfect for Garden Lovers!

I'm all over this fabulous Oh So Succulent stamp set in the 2017 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue! I love container gardening, and last year while visiting my in laws in NSW (who have an amazing cottage garden surrounding their renovated church home), I got lot of cuttings and started some succulent pots for myself. I love how hardy they are, but they also add great variations in texture and foliage colour to my garden. I love that I can now send succulent cards to my garden loving friends.

I watercoloured the outline images using a Blender Pen and then cut them out with paper snips. I used the watercolour pencils for some colours (Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry) and the inside of ink ads for others (Mint Macaron and Wild Wasabi). My pot is just a 2" circle punched shape (in Sweet Sugarplum) cut in half and then a tiny bit cut off the bottom.

Stampin' Up! Pop of Paradise - Pineapple and Flamingo stamps!

This one jumped right out at me at the launch of the 2016 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue - it's bold and bright and pineapples and flamingos are very on trend at the moment. Pop of Paradise stamp set and it's matching Pop of Pink Designer Series paper and washi tape are fabulous to add to brightness and happiness to your papercraft world!

I personally LOVE Mint Macaron with gold, black and white and adding the bright pop of Melon Mambo really adds wow, I did a bit of fussy cutting here but that is so simple with paper snips.

I also made a bulk lot of 'hello' cards using the notecard and envelopes. I find 'hello' and 'thankyou' cards really handy to have on hand in bulk for customer thankyous and sending catalogues etc. These were fun to make and I love how they turned out.

Stampin' Up! A Nice Cuppa Vintage Teacup Birthday Card

Hello lovelies,

Today I have a vintage tea pot card for you using the Stamin' Up! A Nice Cuppa bundle - I had so much fun making this card and love the grungy way the tea cup turned out. Read on for tips.

 

 

Tips to create this card:

1. First up I used the beautiful Timeless Textures background stamp (using Crumb Cake and Tip Top Taupe ink) to add some grunge onto the base Crumb Cake stamp set. I also stamped onto the piece of Typeset specialty DSP.
2. For the teacup, I clear embossed the tea cup image onto a piece of DSP from the Love Blossoms DSP stack. I wasn't particularly careful about getting an even and deep cover of Versamark ink before I embossed, because I wanted a grungy look.
3. Next I used my brayer to run Early Espresso ink over the entire image making sure there was good coverage in the areas that weren't embossed. I then used a paper towel to clean off the ink from the embossed areas.
4. The tea cup image was cut out using the Cups and Kettles Framelit die.
5. Finally I added some embellishments for extra texture - Tea Lace Doily, ribbon, linen thread.
6. My greeting is from Balloon Celebrations. I really love the whimsical nature of the greeting!
