What's happening in Stampin' Up! in April?

Next weekend, demonstrators around the globe will be gathering at OnStage events for the unveiling of the 2018/19 Annual Catalogue, which will be available for customers during May for a June 1st start (to register your interest in receiving a catalogue when they become available, go here). I will be heading to Sydney with lots of my team which will be lots of fun and excitement. This year will be even more fun, as it's Stampin' Up!'s 30th Anniversary and we are celebrating like it's 1988.

I'll be able to tell you all about the OnStage event, and give you some sneak peeks from Tuesday April 10th.

Today's Card

Today I have a vintage style birthday card for you, using one of the lovely stamp sets from the Occasions Catalogue called Southern Serenade. Sometimes we miss these stand alone stamp sets while we focus on bundles, but this stamp set is too pretty to miss. I particularly like its vintage style and the beautiful fine lace image.

I have used Shimmery White to stamp on, and Crumb Cake for the stamping of the lace images. I have stamped the floral image in Basic Black Archival and coloured with watercolour pencils.

This stamp set comes with some lovely accompanying images of the lace and smaller floral images, as well as three very versatile sentiments. It's a great one to add to your collection of stamps and is available in clear mount and wood (see links below). The 'Happy Birthday' and 'Thank You' greeting also fit nicely inside the Pretty Label Punch.

Stampin' Up! At Home With You and the beautiful doors of France.

Around this time last year  our cruise ship stop in Marseille). Paris was everything I dreamed it would be, and I could wander those streets for months I think. One of the things that I loved looking at and photographing (beyond the beautiful floral balconies) were the doors. They were so beautiful and ornate. Here's a beautiful one I saw at Aix En Provence, and there are some more ones from Paris at the end of my post.

 

It is those doors I was reminded of  and inspired by when I saw the new At Home with Me stamp set / bundle with matching At Home Framelits in the 2017 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I have a things about doors at the moment!

 

I'm also loving the new Wood Texture Designer Series Paper Stack. You get 48 6x6" woodgrain designs (4 each of 12 different double sided designs). I will be using this SO MUCH! It's great for stamping directly onto as I have here.

 

How pretty is the Berry Burst paper in the 12x12 Fresh Floral Designer Series Paper Stack? You also get the 4 other new InColours in the stack. The Brick Wall 6x6 Textured Impressions Embossing Folder makes a great textured background for this card.

At Home with You Bundle

This was one of my first MUST HAVE's in the new catalogue because the versatility just jumped right out at me. It can be used for Christmas, birthdays, welcome to the street, thanks for being a great host, thanks for visiting and much much more! I LOVE all the cute scenes you can create with the extras. There are lots of sentiments too = great for use with other projects too (and they fit nicely in the Classic Label Punch).

Stampin' Up! Tasty Trucks Saleabration 2017 Stamp Set

One of my favourite childhood memories was visiting the beach with my family. At the end of a fun, sandy day (and often a dumping or two by the waves) we would grab an ice cream from the Mr Whippy van and head back to the car for the drive home. As soon as I saw the tasty Trucks Saleabration 2017 stamp set, it evoked those memories, so I decided to turn my truck into a Mr Whippy ice cream van.

The seagulls were borrowed from another stamp set, High Tide from the Occasions catalogue (link at the bottom of the post). I made the custom greeting using my vintage typewriter and the image is watercoloured in Blushing Bride, Basic Grey and Smoky Slate. The patterned paper is from the neutrals Designer Series paper stack (I use this a lot!).

There are so many cool things that have been created with this stamp set. It can be a hot dog truck, a taco truck and lots more!
