Scrapbooking and Mini Album Using Thinlits Card Dies

The Stampin' Up! Thinits Card Dies were released in Australia this week. We all know they make snazzy cards, but did you know you can make mini albums and scrapbook page elements with these too? Here's some projects I did for Stampin' Up! and the Scrapbooking Memories blog with a travel theme.

First up a 12x12 page with hidden journalling and photos:

and here it is open, showing the hidden sections (the bit clipped down, and the pull tab on the right hand side):

Next up, a photo mini album. Just love how this turned out!

All the extra little bits and pieces that go with the Thinlits dies are perfect for inside the album too.

I got the dimension in the custom alphabet, by cutting the letters out (using the Typeset Alphabet Die in my Bigshot) in chipboard first, and then in the coordinating cardstock and adhering them together. That way you can have custom chipboard letters in all the Stampin' Up! colours.

Finally, a matching card!

If you would like to recreate these projects, here are the Stampin' Up! Supplies I have used. You can purchase them by email, or in my online store. If you are making your first purchase in my online store, make sure you tick 'allow demonstrator to contact me' when you set up your profile. That way I can pass on all my cool customer only benefits!

Expanding Christmas Card / Mini Album and tutorial using Stampin' Up! Circle Card Thinlet Dies.

This project was a real labour of love and I LOVED how it turned out. Ever since I saw the new Stampin' Up! Thinlet Card Dies, I have had this expanding Christmas card in mind. I wanted a real WOW card that I could include all sorts of things like decorations, greetings, personal messages, photos and even a pocket for a family newsletter. There is plenty of room and more in this card.

There are 14 different areas on this project to decorate as I added in some extra bits to make it work like I wanted. This is just a teeny sneak peek of part of the expanding card.

Best of all, the 10 page tutorial with lots more photos, all the cutting and assembly instructions plus measurements for everything is yours FREE with your purchase of either Thinlet card dies from me. You can purchase them by email or in my online store (if you buy them in my online store and this is the first time shopping with me, you MUST tick the box which says "Allow my Demonstrator to contact me" when you set up your account, otherwise I can't send you your free tutorial).

Buy just the Tutorial

If you already have a demonstrator or you are a demonstrator yourself and would like to use my project in an in person class or workshop (not online in any way please) you can instead buy the tutorial for just $5.00 in my tutorial store and it downloads immediately. Visit my Tutorial Store now.

If you would like to purchase either of the card Thinlets (this project is based on the Circle card Thinlet, here is what you get in each pack). Visit the Thinlits page in my online store.
