Stampin' Up! You are Amazing Cardmaking Kit - New for 2021

Hey friends. I hope you are well and the beginning of 2021 is treating you well. Today I want to show you a brand new Stampin Up cardmaking kit that is in the 2021 January to June Mini Catalogue. It's a bright and happy card kit and the stamp set which coordinates with it has some great sentiments for birthdays, congrats and thank you cards. It's called the You are Amazing Project Kit.

The kit makes 16 cards (4 each of 4 designs) and includes the card bases, die cuts for layering, lined coordinating envelopes, twine  and instructions. It all comes packaged together in this gorgeous box, so would make a fabulous gift for a crafty friend.

Here's a look at three of the fours cards. I had made all four. I will explain and give you a bit of a laugh first (or maybe a horror story for fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators). It was quite stormy when I wanted to photograph these cards but I like to photograph them outside for better light. I went out onto the deck, and a wind gust literally blew the fourth card out of my hand and after it had completed a graceful loop in the air, it fell down and straight through the teeny gap between the deck boards (insert OMG face). My husband was out and no way I was going to get it, so three we have. Hubby later rescued it for me but it needs a bit of a clean up, so that's for another time, lol. Pretty good 'the dog ate my homework' story don't you think?

So let's look at the three cards that DID make it.

First up we have a bold bright birthday card. I love the happy colours on this one along with the the adorable sentiment stamp and the foil edged speech bubble. So adorable! The sentiment is stamped in Mango Melody on this one.

Another bright and happy card which could be used for either a congratulations or birthday card. I love the bold striped background card on this one, and the foiled die cuts really add wow as well as contrast the vellum nicely. This sentiment is a great one too don't you think? It's stamped in Pretty Peacock.

This next one is a great one to send to send as a congratulations / well done card. As a team leader to a bunch of amazing demonstrators, I get to send a lot of these! I love sending cards to my team. More foil edges and foil die cuts on this one, and the sentiment is stamped in Flirty Flamingo.

The colour combination for this cardmaking kit is so awesome. Not colours I would think to add together, but it works! We have Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock.

The whole kit is easy to put together, so would be great for beginner stampers who like simple cards with instructions.

Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin Kit for Christmas 2020 - 16 Stampin Up cards and alternatives

Hello friends. Today I am sharing all 16 of the cards I made with the Stampin' Up! Joy to the World global Paper Pumpkin kit. This includes some cards similar to the ones covered by instructions in the kits, as well as alternatives and extras I made with left over peieces. The kit is designed to make 8 cards, but I  doubled that and still maintained my usual style of layering. If you are looking for a quick way to whip up your Christmas cards, I can thoughly recommend this kit. It's just $37 and you can find it HERE in my online Stampin' Up! store.

Here's a closer look at the cards I made. First up I made 3 of one of the designs from the kit. I loved the foild die cuts and that everything is ready to stamp and assemble (I added the red rhinestones on the right card).

The white panels in the kit are embossed and the base cards have foiling on them. You get a mini Just Jade ink pad in the kit, and the stamps too.

Next up I made 3 of a slightly altered version of the other design. I only used one of the flower die cuts on each card.

Next up I made 7 of these cards, which I think are my favourite of the bunch.

Here's a closer look at ones of these cards. I added in the Just Jade cardstock, and added a 1" strip of the Poinsettia Petals specialty paper. I coiled some gold cord under the flower, and used a stitched rectangle die out to cut the sentiment (included in the stamp set that comes in the kit). The stamp I used on the base card also comes in the stamp set you get with the kit. I stamped it in Just Jade (stamped off once).

I had bits and pieces from the kit left, so I made these additional single cards as well. I use one of the gold foil die cuts, along with a base card and the embossed section from the kit. Then I added in a world die cut from the World Map dies for this one, and the 'on earth' part of the sentiment comes from the Dove of Hope stamp set. I like the simplicity of this card.

For this one, everything is from the kit, except the die cut trees (which are from the Pine Woods dies), and the embellishments (Wonderful Gems from the Holiday Catalogue). The trees are cut in Just Jade, Shaded Spruce and Brushed Metallic cardstock.

I used the Subtle embossing folder on the base Just Jade card for this one. Then everything else was from the kit with the exception of the Star Embellishment.

This final one is very similar. Everything is from the kit, except the base card which is embossed with the Subtle embossing folder again.

If you have been counting along, you will see that is actually 17 cards, not 16, but since I had already finished my graphic for the post, I'm going with 16!
