First Annual Ultimate Pink Blog Hop - Global Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Unite!

Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to the first ever Ultimate Pink Blog Hop – a collection of ideas from Stampin’ Up! demonstrators all over the globe featuring shades of pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I'm really pleased to be a part of this fabulous tribute.

For my pink projects, I have made a set of cards featuring my favourite pink right now, Sweet Sugarplum.

I have created my background by sponging the Sweet Sugarplum ink onto 3 different patterns in the Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper.

Stampin' Up! Saleabration 2016 card - Botanicals For You

Hello there.

Finally starting to feel like I'm settling back into routine. It's the start of my boys second week back at school, and I think I've mastered the book covering, term sports signups / payments, the getting back to waking up at a decent hour (OK, so not quite mastered that one, lol).

On Friday night I exhaled after the first week back and did some creating. So nice to just spend some 'me' time doing something I love.

Demonstrator Melbourne AustraliaThis is one of the FREE Saleabration 2016 stamp sets you can earn until the 31st March with a $90 order. I really like it, and I love having 'just for you' cards on hand as they are suitable for so many occasions. I gold embossed it straight onto some Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper (another free choice for Saleabration with a $90 order - this one is only available until 15th Feb though).  The Bow Paper clips are super cute too.

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You for SB114

I LOVE a good floral image to colour, so I was all over the new Stampin' Up! set Remarkable You when it appeared in the 2015 Annual Catalogue. Today's card features one of the flowers (which we think is a lotus flower or waterlily) water coloured, along with a greeting from the set. It's based on this week's Stamping and Blogging Design Team sketch SB114.

Here's the colour combination I have used today.

Tips for recreating this card:

  • I water coloured the floral image using an Aqua painter (see all supplies below) and the ink inside the lid of the Rose Red ink pad.
  • Stamp your image in Jet Black Stazon so you can watercolour without the image outline smudging.
  • Use our high quality Watercolor Paper for a great result. It really does make a difference as you can blend over and over without the paper pilling.
  • The Triple Banner Punch makes cutting the banner ends on this card a breeze.
  • Both flowers were cut out using our super sharp Paper Snips. The left hand flower is popped up with Dimensional foam dots (not the stem though).
  • Stamp an extra bit of the leaf pattern onto Cucumber Crush and cut out a few leaves to layer over the greeting banner.

Here's today sketch that the lovely Sandi MacIver has given us to play with this week:

Stampin' Up! Bohemian Diagonal Card

I'm  a big fan of the rich bright colours in the Bohemian Designer Series Paper Pack, but sometimes using a lot together can overwhelm the project. Today's card show's how to use some scraps for a quick and easy project.

Tip:

When you are making diagonal cards like this, I find it easiest to stamp the greeting first, and line the paper strips up with the greeting.

The Stampin' Up! Boho Chic Embossing Folder is a great match for this paper pack too, coordinating the Bohemian style perfectly. You can view all the products I have used in the links below my signature.

Here's my colour combination for today's cardstock, ink and ribbon which was inspired by the Bohemian Designer Series Paper.

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics cards for every occasion

Here are some more cards I made on my mass produce note cards weekend just gone. I made up 20 of these and used a few different sentiments so I have cards on hand.

Stampin Up Butterfly Basics Notecards by Claire Daly Melbourne Australia

Don't be put off because the die looks intricate. I find it easy to get a good cut with these dies if you follow some steps:

  • I use injection foam on my more intricate dies, which really helps with getting a clean cut which pops off the die.
  • Make sure you have a firm 'sandwich' in your Bigshot. I placed the base magnetic plate, the acrylic plate, the die with the cut side facing upwards, the cardstock, the second acrylic plate and for these I added a cardstock shim.

It was quick and easy to cut 20 of the intricate butterfly, and then I popped out the extra pieces with the paper pierce while I was watching TV.

Here's the Stampin' Up! Colour Combination I used on these cards:
