Being a team leader is the BEST part of what I do and together we have grown a fun, supportive, active and cohesive community. Also, size matters! We have a large group and a great mix of hobby vs demonstrators who choose to teach and sell to others, so you will feel right at home whichever you choose. We also have other successful leaders within the group, so there is an opportunity to be inspired by and learn from many people in the team, not just me.
We welcome all kinds of paper-crafters (we don’t just make cards, in fact I started paper-crafting as a scrapbooker). You can decide if you want to join just for yourself, or if you are interested in teaching and selling to others (the joining process is the same for both).
When you join you will be warmly welcomed as we introduce you to the group and we start getting to know each other in-person, by phone or online if needed. I’ll help you settle in and find your way around, and help you work towards whatever it is YOU want to get from Stampin’ Up!.
We have a big in person team training event in Melbourne planned for later in 2024, which is a great opportunity to meet team in person. We also have virtual team catch ups and creative sessions, social stamping days and coffee catch ups.
I’ll continue to be around and in touch! I work from home full time so you know where to find me if you have a question or want to chat. I’m also active on our team forum, via video and I send comprehensive newsletters to my whole team. If you are close enough, we can meet for coffee and social creativity too if you would like to.
If something tricky crops up, I’ll help you work things out! Sometimes when changes get announced you may have some initial questions or concerns. I am a well respected global leader and have a great relationship with Stampin’ Up! staff and other demonstrators. I pride myself on being positive, working towards solutions, acting with integrity and professionalism and supporting demonstrators globally. Being in the leadership groups helps me build resources and relationships which the whole team benefits from.
I love to create and inspire too. Prior to joining Stampin’ Up! I was a published scrapbooker (Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Creations and Scrapbooking Memories) and now also love to make cards and play with inky techniques. All of my direct team members will receive access to my monthly PDF class tutorials, my free customer PDF class and/or videos and anything else I create for customers FREE of charge. You also get access to my tutorial library where there are hundreds of technique and idea tutorials and classes. I also create regular videos.
If you choose to sell to others or work up through the Stampin’ Up! career plan you will be recognised, celebrated and rewarded for meeting milestones. If you are a hobby demonstrator, you will also have the chance to maybe win one of our fun team group giveaways just for participating.
Our team has a really strong desire to give back to others, both through individual team member activities, and through a combined group effort. Last year we had a goods drive to collect warm clothing, hygiene products and basic necessities for children and families in need through a local charity Big Group Hug. We also raised over $1000. We are starting to plan another giving back project for this year.

How do I join up?

Do I have to sell to other people?
No – not at all. Many people choose to join Stampin Up Australia purely for the demonstrator benefits, to be part of the global Stampin’ Up! community and for the great discount. That is totally fine. The joining process is the same, and you are welcomed into our team exactly the same way. YOU decide if you want to also sell to family or friends and we can help you learn about that if you choose. You can change your mind about that at any time too.
What commitment am I making about ongoing or minimum orders?
I like to be totally transparent about all parts of the demonstrator opportunity. Regardless of whether you have joined for yourself or to earn some additional income, the following apply.
When you join Stampin’ Up! Australia, you will remain an active demonstrator until the end of the first full calendar quarter, even if you don’t purchase anything else. So for example if you join in October, you will stay active until at least the end of March 2025. You can also leave at any time and keep everything.
When you become a demonstrator, you sign the Independent Demonstrator Agreement between you and Stampin’ Up!. In the document, it refers to minimum sales, so let me explain that. After your first quarter (the one you join in), if you want to remain an active demonstrator you need to submit 300CSV (which currently equates to $468 AUD) in each quarter. This is at catalogue price, so before your 20% demonstrator discount is applied (its about $380 after the discount). When you purchase the starter kit, the calendar quarter you are in on the date you sign up (so January to end of March, April to end of June, July to end of September, or October to end of December) doesn’t count as your first full quarter. Your first full quarter is the one after the quarter you join in (but any sales in your initial joining quarter count towards your full first quarter sales with the exception of your starter kit). If at the end of any quarter you don’t meet your minimum sales amount, you get one month’s grace period (called pending status) in which to make it up. If by the end of the pending month there are still minimum sales outstanding, you just drop being a demonstrator and go back to being a customer. There are no exit fees, and you just keep everything.
What happens if I change my mind or don’t meet the minimum order level?
You can change your mind or choose to drop as an active demonstrator at any time. You just phone or email demonstrator support and it will be processed, no questions asked. You then just keep everything you have received as a demonstrator and go back to being a customer if you choose. Judging by how long my team members have been around, I think you will love it though!
