Stampin' Up! New Horizon DSP & Grove Dies

Hello friends. Today I have a 'hello' card for you. I find these very handy to have on hand to send with catalogues to new customers or just to say hello to team members, friends and family. Today I have used the New Horizons DSP as the star of my card, with some elements from the Grove Dies. Both of these products are new in the 2022 January to June Mini Catalogue.

Stampin' Up! handmade Hello card using New Horizons Designer Series Paper, Grove Dies, and Pebble Enamel Embellishments. Card by Claire Daly, Melbourne, Australia.

My base card is Evening Evergreen, and I have just added a layer of the gorgeous New Horizons Designer Series Paper (see below), followed by a couple of die-cut deer from the Grove Dies (see below). I have added a 'Tammy Style Bow' as made famous by the amazing Tammy Wilson of Stamps, Paper, Scissors. I love the added texture this gives the card. My bow contains Evening Evergreen open weave ribbon (cut in half horizontally), the gold metallic twine from the Simply Elegant Trim pack, and Linen Thread. You can find all of these using the links at the end of the post.

I think one of my favourite parts of this card, is the self adhesive pebbles. These Pebble Enamel Embellishments (see below) are fabulous for creating scenes and added texture on your cards.

I find one of the best ways to make quick cards, is by using the Memories and More Cards and Envelopes, and Memories and More Card Packs. Today I have three quick cards for you using these products from the Heart and Home Suite in the Stampin' Up! 2022 January to June Mini Catalogue.

Three Cards in One with Stampin Up Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper

Hello crafty friends. Today I want to show you how you can make 3 quick and easy Stampin Up cards in one! I have used the Stampin' Up! Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper from the 2021 Stampin Up Australia Annual Catalogue, along with the super versatile Biggest Wish stamp set from the same catalogue.

Stampin Up 3 quick and easy cards in one using Pansy Petals DSP. 2021 Card by Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

Here's the three cards I made.

Stampin Up 3 quick and easy cards in one using Pansy Petals DSP. 2021 Card by Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

Card Instructions

  1. Start with 3 x C6 standard card bases in Soft Succulent (that's an A4 sheet cut in half vertically and folded in half).
  2. Cut three pieces of coordinating DSP pieces each 10cmx 14.3cm.
  3. Stack them together in your trimmer and make 2 angled cuts (it doesn't really matter where you make them, but aim for 3 pieces around the same size).
  4. Select one piece from each pattern and adhere to the card leaving a teeny gap in between each piece.

The final step is to adhere a sentiment label over the join of the three pieces. I used a circle with my greeting from Biggest Wish stamped in colours to coordinate with the DSP. If you don't have the Biggest Wish Stamp Set, I strongly suggest you take a look using the links at the end of the post. It's so versatile.

I have also used a piece of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon (you need about 22cm for each card), and one of the Soft Succulent 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

Stampin Up 3 quick and easy cards in one using Pansy Petals DSP and Biggest Wish Stamp Set. 2021 Card by Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

This is such a quick and easy design, I will definitely be making more quick and easy cards using this layout.

Quick and Easy Stampin' Up! Artistically Inked 'Hello' Card

A quick card is a good card, right? Sometimes for me that is definitely the case, other times I like to play with techniques. Today though, I want to show you a quick and easy card using the Artistically Inked bundle from the Stampin Up Australia 2021 Annual Catalogue.

Quick and easy Stampin Up Artistically Inked bundle card by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

Measurements / Supplies:

To make this card you will need (find these items using the links at the bottom of the post):

  • Standard C6 top folded Pear Pizazz card as the base.
  • A piece of Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper 10cm x 14.3cm (the piece with Pear Pizazz and Pale Papaya on it)
  • A die cut (out of Pear Pizazz) of the large leaf /branch piece from the Artistic Dies
  • 3 adhesive sequins from the Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack
  • A piece of Pale Papaya and White ribbon, 25cm in length
  • White bakers twine
  • A scrap of white cardstock and Pear Pizazz ink pad to stamp the greeting from the Artistically Inked stamp set.

Quick and easy Stampin Up Artistically Inked bundle card by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

Step by Step Instructions:

  1. I adhered the piece of DSP to the card using Stampin' Seal adhesive (you could also use Multipurpose Glue)
  2. I adhered the die cut with glue dots in about 3 or 4 places.
  3. Wrap the Pale Papaya and White ribbon over the top of the branch and overlap on the underside of the card. I just used Stampin' Seal to keep it in place but be sure to not place any adhesive where you will be tying the bow with the White bakers twine. You don't want the ribbon adhered too tightly for the same reason.
  4. Stamp the 'hello' sentiment in Pear Pizazz ink onto a scrap of white cardstock. Trim and cut the ends on an angle.
  5. Adhere the sentiment piece towards the bottom right of the card and place the three adhesive sequins around the edges.

That's all there is to it. Easy, right?

Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop: Rich Razzleberry

106922496_10159992931478098_1171141180047246582_n

I'm excited to have had some time on the weekend to create a card for our Art with Heart Stampin' Up! team's Colour Creations weekly blog hop. This week's colour is Rich Razzleberry, one of my favourite colours for many years. It's a beautiful deep purple pink colour, and a member of our Regals collection.

Rish Razzleberry

My card is a watercolour scene. I haven't played with the lovely Grace's Garden stamp set for so long, and Rich Razzleberry made me think of deep pink/purple  Hollyhock flowers, so that's what I went with. My scene is made on watercolour paper, with a Crumb Cake mat, and adhered with Dimensionals onto a Rich Razzleberry card base. The card base has also been embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

Stampin Up Graces Garden watercolour card by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

I have used Rich Razzleberry, Gorgeous Grape and Bumblebee for my flower colours and Garden Green for the foliage. The gate is a combination of Crumb Cake and Soft Suede, the cat is watercoloured in Gray Granite and the bird is Early Espresso with a teeny bit of diluted Real Red on the tummy. For the foreground, I have used a watercolor wash of Sahara Sand and for the sky I have used my blending brushes and Pool Party for a very light sky effect.

To finish off my card, I have added some Linen Thread, and stamped the 'Hello' sentiment from Graces Garden stamp set, in Early Espresso. I also added a metallic heart brad that has been sitting in my scrapbooking stash for many many years.

Here's a closer look at the goregous Graces Garden stamp set from the 2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I love how you can use the images either individually or to make your own garden scene.
