Gift your handmade woodslice Christmas ornaments in these perfectly sized gift boxes.

Remember those stamped woodslice ornaments I made back in November? (HERE is the link to that post and video). Here's another look at them. Well it came time to send them on their merry way to my family for Christmas, and I was thinking how to wrap them, and I came accross the perfect size gift box, so I wanted to share this tip with you.

The Stampin' Up! Mini Pizza bozes are the perfect size to fit them in with some tissue paper. They are available in Whisper White and Gold (like shiny foil), and you get eight in a pack. The Whisper White ones work out at $1.26 each, and the Gold ones at $1.54 each. They are even food safe if you wanted to replace the ornaments for chocolates or cookies.

They are a perfect fit for the woodslice ornaments. I just wrapped them in some tissue paper inside the box.

The Whiusper White ones are perfect to stamp on with Stampin' Up! Claasic Ink Pads, so it's quick and easy to decorate. I then popped them in with the Christmas gifts I was sending to my family interstate.

Here's a look at the two different options of boxes. You can find them HERE  and HERE in my online store in Australia, or purchase them directly through me by phone or email.

DIY Tealight Candle Gift Box Template and Tutorial using Stampin Up papercraft supplies

Hello friends. Today I am sharing a project I made earlier in the year, but realised I hadn't shared with you. It's a DIY / handmade gift box for tea light candles. I have both the template and a step by step tutorial for you to download for free.

I have incoporated a window into the top of the box and it has a decorative belly band that slips over the box. You can adjust the length if you want less tea lights, and can adjust the height based on the height of the candles too.

I made this one before the papers changed over in the Annual Catalogue, but I have updated the tutorial to link to alternative papers, trims, and a great punch to make your own tags.

Art With Heart Stampin' Up! Team September Blog Hop - showcasing the 2018 Holiday Catalogue

Blog Hop

It's time for our monthly Art With Heart Stampin' Up! Blog Hop. Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring the Holiday Catalogue. We hope our blog hop inspires you to get creative and make some fabulous Christmas creations. If you would like a copy of the Holiday Catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

Today I am showcasing a couple of gift packaging options, using decorations from the Holiday Catalogue. These little gift boxes always come in handy at Christmas for gift cards, as well as small gifts for co-workers or friends such as soy melts, tea light candles, handmade soaps, chocolates or other treats.

My first gift box would be especially good for treats given the image I have used (Macarons maybe?). I love these Kraft Pillow Boxes. They are pre-printed and you get 10 boxes for $8.75. All you need to do is close up the ends and decorate.

To decorate this Kraft Pillow Box, I have used:

  • Mixed Satin ribbon with some Silver Metallic Thread.
  • Image from Sa Santa stamp set, which I coloured with Stampin' Blends.
  • Festive Farmhouse Elements which I have coloured with Champagne Shimmer paint for extra sparkle.

My second gift box is a decorated mini pizza box. These are available to purchase in packs of 8 and have a food safe coating. They are also great for mini cards and envelope gifts. I have used the Santa's Workshop Specialty Designer Series paper to decorate this box. I cut the image and the corners from the DSP too, so the only stamping on this one is the greeting on the sign (greeting from Itty Bitty Greeting, cut out with Classic Label punch). There is also a bit of Pool Party spongeing on the background circle.

It's a little bit hard to see, but I have used some of the coordinating Poppy Parade 1/2" Textured Weave ribbon on the sides, and also some of the Tranquil Tide glimmer paper (from the Joyous Noel glimmer paper pack)on the top of the box as the very base layer.

I hope these projects have given you some ideas for some fun and simple gift boxes. Now it's time to head over to the next blog hop participant, the lovely Rebecca Jacavou.
