Sorry I have been a bit quiet here the last couple of weeks. I have been working hard behind the scenes though, creating for my weekly colour exploration emails, getting my product shares and InColor Clubs ready and I have just put together a great new class for you!

Weekly Colour Emails

If you are an email subscriber, you should have been receiving my colour emails the last 2 weeks. Each week for 11 weeks we will be looking at one of the 11 new core colours (4 of which are brand new and 7 of which are returning). Each email will include 6 colour combinations for that colour, and 1-2 cards showing one of the colour combinations in action. Stampin' Up! Beside You Fathers Day Card

One of the cards I featured last week while exploring Azure Afternoon, was this Fathers Say card using Stampin' Up! Beside You stamp set. Campology Masculine Birthday Card and a Video Tutorial with 6 Ways to Use the NEW Stampin' Up! Masking Paper

Hello stamping friends.

One of the new products included in the 2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue was masking paper. For those not familiar with masking paper, it does as the name suggests - masks off areas of your project where you don't want ink to go. You can do this with other things as well, but the benefit of this specialised masking paper is that it is super thin plus adhesive and it doesn't leave as much of a halo around the edge. It's also reusable, and really reasonably priced. It is $12.25AUD for 12 5x7" sheets. Find the masking paper on page 149 of the Annual catalogue, or HERE in my online store.

I've put together a video showing 6 different techniques to use the masking paper, and included lots of tips along the way. The video features 5 cards, and I will share one of them here first. You can see how I did the stamping for this project (and the other 4 cards) in the video which is included below. 

As I wanted the tent to appear in front of the trees in this masculine birthday card, I stamped the tent first and then masked it off before I stamped the trees. I love this Campology stamp set and haven't used it nearly enough, so I am grateful it carried over to the new catalogue. To finish my card off, I have used some of the DSP and a die-cut from He's the Man Specialty DSP, along with some linen thread and Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.

Masculine card idea for the men and boyfriends in your life.

Hi friends. Today I am sharing a Stampin' Up! simple card idea, which is perfect for the men and/or boyfriends in your life. It's also great for anyone who loves aviation or old planes. The stamp set is called Soar Confidently, and it's a new stand alone stamp set from the 2021 January to June mini catalogue. I've kept the layout and design of this card super simple, so it would be a great card for beginner cardmakers as well.

As you can see my card design is super simple. It's just a couple of the Stitched Rectangle dies cut shapes with a greeting. The ink blended piece is actually a piece of the Sand and Sea Designer Series paper (coming January 5th in the 2021 January to June mini catalogue). My image and sentiment is just stamped in Soft Suede ink. When you have a simple design, you can add WOW to your card really easily by embossing the cardfront. The Absolutely Argyle 3D embossing folder is perfect for masculine cards and is available now in my online store. I also added some Braided Linen Trim (also available now) and adhered with Glue Dots to get the looped effect.

The Soar Confidently stamp set has some great sentiments for a range of masculine cards, and a couple of great balloon images as well. I think it's great for birthday and fathers day cards. Keep an eye out for it in the new 2021 January to June mini catalogue.

Stampin' Up! Country Club golf themed double easel masculine card plus some sad news.

Hello friends.

Thanks for being patient with me while I got back to posting. It's been a hard couple of weeks for our family. Our much loved white German Shepherd Oscar has been unwell over the last few weeks. We thought he was recovering after an operation, but late last week he deteriorated again and we had to make the tough decision to say goodbye to him. It's a heartbreaking thing to do as many of you would know. We are being comforted by the fact he was very loved and had a good life as part of our family. Here he is on his last beach holiday with us in late January.

Today I have a double easel card for you using the Country Club suite of products from the Stampin' Up! 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue. This was my project for the January Creative 8 Tutorials, so you can find measurements and step by step instructions for this and 7 other projects over on my Tutorials page.

I coloured the golfers clothes with Stampin Blends. The Country Club wooden elements have lots of great bits and pieces for golfing cards.

The Country Club suite of products is so perfect for the golfers in your life. I really love this suite. This card has enough layers and surfaces to show off lots in the suite. I really love this greeting too.

 

I kept the inside very simple, with just a strip of the DSP.

Stampin' Up! Masculine Watercolour July Class by Mail featuring A Good Man stamp set.

I had so much fun putting this class together! I just love how these cards turned out (perfect for males and many occasions - birthdays, thanks, thinking of you, Fathers Day) and I can't wait to show you (by video and printed colour instructions) how to put these cards together. We will be using the new Fluid 100 Cotton Watercolour paper which is such great quality.

Class sign ups close July 21st. Class will ship around 1st August.

The class makes 6 cards, and all layers are pre-cut, pre-punched or die-cut for you, so you just have to stamp, colour and assemble. You also get our high quality Fluid 100 cotton watercolour paper and our high quality envelopes included, as well as the cling stamp set and  a full pack of 2019-21 InColour Faceted Dots  (valued at $11.25 and you will have lots left over for other projects). Please note: In the images above, I have used the Subtles embossing folder. As this is currently unavailable to order, this step wont be used in the class (although you could substitute a folder of your choice).

The projects are based on the 'A Good Man' cling stamp set (which is valued at $42 and included in the class supplies) on page 147 of the Annual Catalogue. I LOVE this stamp set. The hand-drawn images are so gorgeous and there are lots of sentiments in a great font for make cards.
