Metric Measurements for a Slimline Card, and a free Slimline DIY Envelope Template to Download.

Hello friends,

Today I have for you a slimline card idea including metric measurement details to cut from a piece of A4 cardstock. I have also designed an easy template for free download to make both the card, and also your own DIY slimline envelope. I have used the Stampin' Up! Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper from the 2020 August to December Mini Catalogue for my card and envelope. You can view and/or buy any of the supplies used today, using links at the end of the post.

I made a DIY Slimline Envelope in the same patterned paper. You need a piece of patterned paper 24xm x 27cm for this.

I stamped an image from Forever Fern Stamp Set onto the bottom right of the envelope, in Crumb Cake ink. I really love how that coordinated with the card.

For the actual slimiline card, the main focus is the beautiful copper foiled piece of Gilded Autumn DSP. This is 8cm x 20cm. I then added a sentiment label (one end cut with the Labels Pick a Punch), a copper foil cardstock die cut, a punched circle and some linen thread. Check out all of these products in the links at the end of the post.

Day 4 Poppy Party: Simple Peaceful Poppy DSP Card and Envelope

Hello friends.

Back today with Day 4 of my Painted Poppy Bundle showcase. You can find the bundle in the 2020 Stampin' Up! January to June mini catalogue (see my sidebar). Today I have got a very simple card for you with just a tiny bit of stamping.

Stampin Up Painted Poppies Bundle. Gift with Purchase Jan 12-19th . Claire Daly Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

I LOVE this big bold sheet of poppy paper in the Peaceful Poppies DSP. It's quite difficult to use mixed with other elements, so I made it the star of the project. The base card  is one of the Magnolia Lane Large Speciality Memories and More Cards & Envelope. The silver border is already pre-printed on the card, so all I needed to do was cut a piece of DSP 7.8cm x 10.5cm and adhere. I then stamped some of the poppy images in Versamark in the top left and bottom right.

I embossed the greeting from the Saleabration Level 1 set Sending you Thoughts in silver onto one of the pre-embossed black banners in the Peaceful Poppies elements pack (this is included in my gift with purchase this week only). That's really all there is to the card.

For the envelope, I traced the liner that comes with the card onto the DSP and cut it out to use as the new liner. I also stamped a few flowers in Versamark on the envelope.  Easy peasy and it would take you no time at all to create a set of these cards.

In addition to being able to select a Saleabration level 1 gift with the purchase of this bundle anytime between 3rd January and 31st March, I am also offering a small gift with purchase to anyone who purchases it from me this week up to January 19th (anyone who has already purchased the bundle from me will also receive the bonus gift which will be sent out around 29th January. The bonus is some 1 piece of each of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper cut to 6x4" size (these make beautiful layers by themselves) and 1/4 pack of Peaceful Poppies elements. These are elements which coordinate with the Peaceful Poppies suite and are a mix of embossed on watercolour paper, embossed on black card, white printed on vellum and colour printed on glossy white card. These can be coloured and layered for additional card elements.

This month is the start of the new Stampin' Up! year and we have a special promotion on our Designer Series Paper, buy 3 get 1 FREE for the month of October and there is no limit! Dsp special

I am featuring the lovely Fruit Stand Designer Series paper. To be honest, this wasn't a paper that immediately caught my eye, but I received a small sample in a team product share and when I was looking for a paper to use for this card set, the bright colours really caught my eye and now I really like and have ordered a whole pack as part of the special so I can use more of it!

My project is a card box which holds four mini cards and envelopes. The box and envelopes are made using our Envelope Punch Board.

Mini card box and cards / enveloes made with Envelope Punch Box using Fruit Stand DSP by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

The box and envelope colour is Cucumber Crush and the card colour Flirty Flamingo which coordinate perfectly with the Fruit Stand DSP. The other colours featured in the DSP are Daffodil Delight, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizazz, Tangerine Tango, Watermelon Wonder and Whisper White.

The box holds four mini cards and handmade envelopes. The cards are 3.5" x 3.5" and the envelopes are made using the Envelope Punch Board starting with a piece of 6x6" DSP from the 2015-2016 InColour Paper Stack.

Mini card box and cards / enveloes made with Envelope Punch Box using Fruit Stand DSP by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

Here's some quick instructions to make the card box using the Envelope Punch Board.

Start with a piece of cardstock 8" x 8". Stamp on this if you wish. I have stamped some of the smaller images from Blooms and Wishes stamp set using Cucumber Crush ink.

Box 1

Place the top left corner at the 3.5" mark on the punch board. Score and punch.

Box 2

Move the top left corner I" to the left (to the 4.5" position) and score and punch again.

Box 3

Rotate the cardstock 90 degrees anticlockwise. You don't need to pay attention to the ruler at the top anymore, just line up each of the score marks and punch and score.

Box 4

Rotate and do this on the other two sides. Using a pair of paper snips, cut sideways on the bottom tabs so they fold inwards, and cut down on the top tabs so they fold downwards as shown.

Box 5

Use a bone folder to crease each of the scored lines, Apply adhesive to the outside of the bottom flap.

Box5a

Fold to close the side flaps over the bottom tab (place your bone folder inside the box and press down on a flat surface to apply pressure for better adhesion). The box closes with the addition of a belly band.

Box 6

Stampin' Up! Gift of Love Thinking of You Cards

Sadly lots of friends have been going through some hard times, so I wanted to send them a card to let them know I was thinking of them. I always tend to go for floral stamps in this circumstance. Gift of Love is one of the Hostess sets in this years Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. You can earn this set for free with a $250 order or party total. It's a lovely Gladioli image which can be 2 step stamped, but the outline image is also perfect  for watercolouring.

Stampin Up Gift of Love stamp set and Petal Burst embossing folder from 2016 Annual Catalogue. By Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

I've used the Petal Burst embossing folder on the 12x12 Kraft cardstock for my base card. For the colouring, I have used Sweet Sugarplum for the flowers and Old Olive for the leaves. I've also stamped the Outline image in Crumb Cake on the inside panel of the card and the envelope to carry the theme through. You can view everything I have used in today's card in the links at the end of the post.

Stampin' Up! products used on today's project:

A stack of gift cards.

I had a heap of downline and customer packages to go out last week and I wanted to make some gift cards to go with them. I can't believe how quickly these came together! I made 20 cards in less than an hour.

washi tape cards stampin up

I have used  the Stampin' Up! mini square envelopes, and cut the cards 6.5cm x 13.0cm and scored in the centre. Then I stamped one of the must have Gorgeous Grunge stamp set images, added some random strips of the bright and happy trio of Gingham Garden washi tape, then added the Bitty Butterfly and rhinestone. My greeting is from Six Sided Sampler, but you could use any greeting you had.

Love how the envelope liners turned out! This is the smallest of the 3 shapes in the Envelope Die Framelits. Just a note about these framelits. At the moment these are 25% off, because Stampin' Up! wanted to slightly change the shape of the largest Framelit. Personally I didn't notice anything was wrong with it, so I think its a great buy. Oh how I LOVE that chevron print in our paper stacks, and the other 3 great prints!
