Handmade Anniversary card using new 2021 Always in My Heart Bundle

 

Hello stampers. Sneaking in another card for you before the weekend. This one is an Anniversary card and I think it could be used for a couple, husband or boyfriend with this colour combination. It uses the brand new 2021 Always in My Heart bundle. I just love that floral heart die!

My colours are Smoky Slate, Real Red, Basic Black and Basic White. I have used that lovely Subles 3D embossing folder on the layer underneath the floral heart die.

I love the banner piece in this die set as well. In the stamp set, there is a velentines sentiment stamp that fits perfectly in the banner too. There are other great sentiments suitable for wedding and engagement cards too, which maks this a really versatile bundle.

Lots of Heart Valentines Card

Hey crafters.  Today I have a handmade Valentines day card using the new 2021 Stampin' Up! Lots of Heart stamp set. It would also be suitable for a wedding, anniversary or engagement card.

I was inspired with this summery colour combination that was used in the Sweet Little Valentines cards and more in the 2021 January to June Mini Catalogue. I have used Pool Party as the watercolour wash, and then Melon Mambo, Petal Pink and Calypso Coral for the hearts. I love the variety of patterns that the hearts can be stamped in.

I have used our new Opal Rounds embellishments from the 2021 January to June Mini Catalogue to embellish my card, and a white heat embossed sentiment on basic black cardstock. I didn't have the coordinating dies for this stamp set, so I used the smooth edged heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. I managed to make it fit pretty well, with just needing to cut a teeny bit out with paper snips at the top centre of the heart.

The Lots of Heart stamp set has 5 great sentiments suitable for a range of occasions. It is also available to purchase in a bundle with coordinating dies.

Stampin' Up! Posted for You Bundle

Hello friends. Today I'd like to showcase what I think is my favourite new punch in the Stampin' Up! 2020 Annual Catalogue, the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch, and the coordinating Posted for You stamp set (buy them together for a 10% discount using the links at the end of the post).

This is such a great bundle which is really reasonably priced ($54 for the stamp set and punch together). It's a great way to use up little scraps of patterned paper, and you can make mini works of art too.

I embossed the 'Love' image in whote embossing powder onto watercolour paper, and added a watercolour wash of Blushing Bride. When that was dry, I added in some additional colour in a slightly more concentrated shade of Blushing Bride, on the leaves, flower and letters.  The fine water painter in the trio of painters was perfect for this task.

The sentiment and round postage stamp image are included in the Posted for You stamp set and have been stamped in Gray Granite to coordinate with the Peony Garden DSP. The small heart is die cut from the Trio of Tags dies.

You might also spy some cute little embellishments on there. I LOVE these new Elegant Faceted Gems. There are 3 colours in two sizes in the pack: clear, pearlescent white and petal pink. They are the perfect addition to elegant cards as the name implies. I love them so much I just ordered a bunch of these at my shared host code gifts for June customers.

Your Creative Connection #108: Love is in the Air

Hello lovely crafters from around the world. Welcome back to another Your Creative Connection Global Showcase. Today's theme was chosen by Barbara Meyer and is 'Love Is in the Air'. I love being a part of this showcase with these amazingly talented global demonstrators!

I've chosen the Silhouette Scenes stamp set, and one of the new 2020-22 Stampin' Up! In Colours for my card today. 

When I first started playing with Cinnamon Cider, the new 2020 In Colour I have used as my base card today, I really struggled. Now I totally LOVE the colour. It's such a great warm neutral and coordinates well with many colours. Here's today's colour combination.

I have used the Detailed Hearts Die in two ways to create the extra elements on my card. I embossed the Early Espresso cardstock strip using the die, and then I cut the die from Purple Posy cardstock to give me lots the little hearts (plus the base section and lots of leftovers for another project).
