The paper I have used on this card is called Winter Meadow, which has a beautiful color palette of Misty Mauve, Lost Lagoon, Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path, Blueberry Bushel, Garden Green and Smoky Slate. It's one that I found quite easy to create with for a southern hemisphere Christmas, despite the name suggesting winter. It's more about Christmas foliage (it's the one shown on the right in the shares advertisement above. This piece in particular works really well with the Grove Dies which were a carryover in the 2023 Annual Catalogue (and coordinates with the Grassy Grove stamp set). You will be able to purchase the paper when the Christmas catalogue goes live on 6th September.

2023 Stampin Up Christmas card Christmas Classic stamp set

To get some texture on my die-cut, I have used the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder after I die cut the grove piece.

2023 Stampin Up Christmas card Grove Dies

My cardstock colour is Pebbled Path (my favourite in the 2023 InColors, although the more I use them the more I love them all!). I think gold looks great with this colour to add a bit of a festive touch, so I have added some gold sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins, along with some gold metallic trim, from the Simply Elegant Trim pack. The sentiment is from Christmas Classics stamp set which is a new stamp set in the 2023 Stampin' Up! September to December Mini Catalogue (it will be available September 6th).

Stampin' Up! Les Shoppes Suite Card Idea and the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder

Today I have a totally cute card for you using the adorable Stampin' Up! Les Shoppes Suite (which includes the Let's Go Shopping Bundle) from the 2023 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

Stampin Up Les Shoppes Suite Card by Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

The cute shop images I have used in this card are all cut from the Les Shoppes Designer Series Paper. It's such a cute paper and there are really versatile designs on the back too. The good news is the paper pack is 15% off in June (see the links at the end of the post). I figured why stamp when you already have these cute images? They were easy to fussy cut and I joined a couple of the shops together to make this scene, They remind me of the streets of Paris, especially the little bookshop!

Stampin Up Les Shoppes Designer Series Paper

I've used the New Exposed Brick Embossing Folder on crumb cake as my base card. I think it is a great background for the cute houses. I do love vintage themed embossing folders. In fact I just love embossing folders. Such a great and affordable way to add texture and interest to cards.

Stampin Up Les Shoppes / Let's Go Shopping

To add some more texture I have added some Misty Moonlight Braided Trim, and some of the Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins. I particularly love the brown sequins. They are a really rich warm brown. I used a sentiment from the Inked and Tiled stamp set. My favourite sentiment set right now!

Stampin Up Bubble Bath Birthday Card with a new Colour Combo.

Today I have a lovely new colour combination to show off the new Bubble Bath colour that Stampin' Up! introduced in the 2023 Colour Refresh. I have made a birthday card using Painted Posies embossing folder, Biggest Wish stamp set and some of the dies from Scalloped Contours. Bubble Bath was one of the new colours that jumped out at me straight away in the colour refresh, and I was keen to explore how it could work with some of our other existing cards.

Bubble bath 1b

Here's a look at my colour combination. Bubble Bath, Smoky Slate and Misty Moonlight. I love how this turned out. Bubble Bath is a really clean, blue toned pink.

Stampin up colour / color combination with Bubble Bath, Misty Moonlight and Smoky Slate

The Stampin' Up! Painted posies embossing folder is so luscious. It doesn't need much else added as it's such a big bold folder. I just added the stitched and scalloped die cut from Scalloped Contours for a bit of interest at the top. Isn't this die gorgeous?

Stampin Up Biggest Wish and Painted Posies Birthday Card

Stampin' Up! Biggest Wish is the perfect sentiment for this card. I have used this sentiment set so much and I'm really happy it has carried over to the new 2023-24 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I have stamped my two part sentiment in Bubble Bath and Misty Moonlight, and then cut out with one of the Scalloped Contours dies. This die is a perfect size for these sentiments and I like the die cut border that gets added inside the scalloped edge. I've just added a strip of Smoky Slate cardstock and Misty Moonlight under the die cut sentiment for colour interest.

It would be super easy to duplicate this card is a different set of colours. I find embossing is a quick, easy and cheap way to add a real WOW to your cards.

Stampin' Up! Leaf Fall Embossing Folder and the Sponged Embossing Technique.

Off White Clean and Simple Email Sign Up Instagram Post (940 x 630 px) (1)

Hello stampers. Today I have a quick and easy technique for you, but one that can create a real WOW effect with your embossing folders. I have used the Leaf Fall embossing folder from the 2022 Stampin' Up! July to December Mini Catalogue.

Stampin Up sponged Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder. Claire daly, Australia.

I started by embossing a piece of Shimmery White cardstock in the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. Then added colour with sponge daubers tapped onto my ink pads. I started with Soft Sea Foam, and then I added in some Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze ink on part sections of the embossing. My sentiment is from the Ringed with Nature stamp set, and is stamped in Early Espresso. The embossed piece is mounted onto a mat of Early Espresso and then onto an Old Olive base card. Finally I added a bow using a length of Linen Thread, and the Gold Trim from the Simply Elegant Trim Pack.

I really like the earthy colour combination for this card.

Stampin' Up! Perched in A Tree 2022 Christmas Card

Hello friends.

It feels like ages since I have blogged, but in reality it's only been a week. It was production week at my son's high school last week, and he had a minor lead, along with my eldest (now 2 years post high school) was the technical director for the show, so of course I had to attend every show! Then I managed to pick up a respiratory bug (thankfully not Covid) that has hit me hard the last 3 days. Bring on the sunshine I say (in Australia we are in the last month of winter).

I do have plenty of cards I 'prepared earlier' and have yet to share on my blog though.

I made this Christmas card for my subscriber tutorials last week. It features the new Perched in a Tree bundle from the Stampin' Up! July to December Mini Catalogue.

Stampin Up Perched in a Tree 2022 Christmas Card by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator, Melbourne Australia

I used the dies in the bundle to create a mask, and then blended some Gray Granite ink to create the background.

I then ran the whole piece through the Timber 3D Embossing Folder (choose this folder as free gift with a $90 order during Saleabration which ends on 31st August). You can see all the Saleabration choices currently available HERE.

The branch and the bird have been water coloured using ink from my ink pad lids, and Water Painters. I used Gray Granite for the branch, and Gray Granite, Basic Gray and Blackberry Bliss for the bird.

I really loved how this Christmas card turned out. The Perched in a Tree bundle is gorgeous, and you can even the earn the dies in the bundle (called the Aspen Tree Dies) as a free gift with a $180 spend (before postage) during Saleabration which ends on August 31st. You can see all the Saleabration choices currently available HERE.

I hope you like today's card. You can find all of the products I have used in my online store, or the paper copy of the July to December Mini Catalogue. You can either order online, or direct with me via email, phone or text (you can read about three ways to shop with me HERE).  When you shop online with me in Australia, and use the monthly Host Code, you also qualify for a small thank you gift mid the month after your purchase.
