Stampin' Up! Inked and Tiled Bundle / Inked Botanicals Suite

Off White Clean and Simple Email Sign Up Instagram Post (940 x 630 px) (1)

Just two days left for the Stampin' Up! 15% off selected DSP's sale, so I wanted to show you a card featuring a really gorgeous paper that's on special, called Inked Botanicals. I have used the coordinating Inked and Tiled stamp set on this card too. This suite is new in the 2023 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I've included the measurements below so you can easily recreate this card.

Let's have a closer look at the gorgeous Inked Botanicals DSP. The coordinating Stampin' Up! colours are Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon, Petal Pink and Pool Party. Isn't it beautiful? It's a 6x6" pack, so you get 48 sheets - 4 of each of the double sided designs shown.

I stamped the leaf image (from the coordinating Inked and Tiled stamp set) in Lost Lagoon, and then stamped again without reinking. I have used Iridescent Pastel Gems and Linen Thread for embellishments.

The sentiment from inked and tiled is embossed on white onto Lost Lagoon, and both the stamped panel and sentiment label are popped up with Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Hand Penned Petals Card Idea

Hello crafty friends.

Today I wanted to showcase one of the lovely new embossing folders in the 2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. It's called Pretty Flowers and I love the effect it has given me on the Highland Heather card, with the Hand Penned Petals bundle.

Stampin Up 2021 Hand Penned Petals bundle card using Pretty Flowers embossing folder. Congratulations card by Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

The embossing folder works really well with the Hand-Penned stamp set and bundle. I have used Daffodil Delight, stamped off Highland Heather and stamped off Garden Green on the floral image from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set, and which I die-cut using the Penned Flowers dies. I stamped the outline image and the sentiment in Basic Gray to soften the look a little. The circular die-cut is from the new Encircled in Beauty Dies. I totally love these new dies for adding interesting circle layers.

To finish off this card, I have used some Highland Heather grosgrain ribbon (new in 2021). It has a fine metallic fleck in it, so I have teamed it with some silver thread and white bakers twine. I've also used some of the Elegant Faceted Gems around the die cut image.

Five Quick and Easy Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance Cards, each with a different background.

Hello friends. Today I wanted to showcase the early release Butterfly Brilliance bundle. It will be in the new 2021/22 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, but is available to purchase now which is exciting!

View all these products HERE in my online store.

I wanted to make a quick set of 5 cards, so I cut a piece 6x6" DSP pieces into 5 strips (each one ended up being 13.3cm or 5&3/16" x 3cm or 1&3/16") and then added different backgrounds. I used the Butterfly Bijou DSP which is now sadly sold out, but you could substitute any DSP.

Stampin Up Butterfly Brilliance Quick and Easy handmade card by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator, Melbourne Australia.

For some of the cards I left the strips of DSP straight. On others I rounded the top left corner and bottom right corner with the Detailed Trio Punch.

Here's a look at the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle.

Stampin Up 2021 Butterfly Brilliance Bundle avaialble in Australia from Claire Daly

Here are the five different backgrounds I used on the Bermuda Bay base cards.

Left to right we have:

  1. Scripty 3D Embossing Folder
  2. Subtle 3D Embossing Folder
  3. Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder
  4. The Butterfly Brilliance stamp in Bermuda Bay ink stamped off once
  5. The Butterfly Brilliance stamp in Bermuda Bay ink NOT stamped off

5 quick and easu backgrounds for Stampin Up handmade cards.

For three of the cards I attached a die cut butterfly which I had also used the detailed die on. The butterflies were stamped in Magenta Madness ink onto Magenta Madness cardstock before die cutting. You can see all of the different ways to coordinate this bundle in my video below.

Stampin' Up! You are Amazing Cardmaking Kit - New for 2021

Hey friends. I hope you are well and the beginning of 2021 is treating you well. Today I want to show you a brand new Stampin Up cardmaking kit that is in the 2021 January to June Mini Catalogue. It's a bright and happy card kit and the stamp set which coordinates with it has some great sentiments for birthdays, congrats and thank you cards. It's called the You are Amazing Project Kit.

The kit makes 16 cards (4 each of 4 designs) and includes the card bases, die cuts for layering, lined coordinating envelopes, twine  and instructions. It all comes packaged together in this gorgeous box, so would make a fabulous gift for a crafty friend.

Stampin Up 2021 You are Amazing Cardmaking Project Kit box with cards and instructions

Here's a look at three of the fours cards. I had made all four. I will explain and give you a bit of a laugh first (or maybe a horror story for fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators). It was quite stormy when I wanted to photograph these cards but I like to photograph them outside for better light. I went out onto the deck, and a wind gust literally blew the fourth card out of my hand and after it had completed a graceful loop in the air, it fell down and straight through the teeny gap between the deck boards (insert OMG face). My husband was out and no way I was going to get it, so three we have. Hubby later rescued it for me but it needs a bit of a clean up, so that's for another time, lol. Pretty good 'the dog ate my homework' story don't you think?

So let's look at the three cards that DID make it.

First up we have a bold bright birthday card. I love the happy colours on this one along with the the adorable sentiment stamp and the foil edged speech bubble. So adorable! The sentiment is stamped in Mango Melody on this one.

Birthday card idea using You are Amazing Project Kit

Another bright and happy card which could be used for either a congratulations or birthday card. I love the bold striped background card on this one, and the foiled die cuts really add wow as well as contrast the vellum nicely. This sentiment is a great one too don't you think? It's stamped in Pretty Peacock.

Birthday or Congrats card idea using You are Amazing Proejct Kit

This next one is a great one to send to send as a congratulations / well done card. As a team leader to a bunch of amazing demonstrators, I get to send a lot of these! I love sending cards to my team. More foil edges and foil die cuts on this one, and the sentiment is stamped in Flirty Flamingo.

Congratulations card idea using You are Amazing Project Kit.

The colour combination for this cardmaking kit is so awesome. Not colours I would think to add together, but it works! We have Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock.

Stampin Up Ink pad stack in Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock colours

The whole kit is easy to put together, so would be great for beginner stampers who like simple cards with instructions.

Ink Blending with Stampin Up Sponge Brayers and reverse watercolour technique with Celebrate Sunflowers

Hey there,

Today I am going to show you how to use Stampin' Up! Spronge Brayers for ink blending to create an ombre background (and they are only great value, $14 for 4 heads and 2 handles). I also have another  technique I am not even sure of the proper name for (if there is even one), but which is simple and hardly needs any supplies for, so I wanted to show you. I'm going to call it reverse watercolouring.

Celebrate Sunflowers sponge brayered background with reverse watercolouring technique. 2020 card by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Melbourne Australia. Video on blog post.

Here's the video tutorial I made to demonstrate this technique and card.

I'm really loving the colour Bumble Bee. It's such a vibrant yellow, but also warm and welcoming.
