Colour Creations Week 41 Sahara Sand with Stampin Up Cactus Cuties Bundle

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logo

Hey friends, welcome to another week of Colour Creations blog hop by the Art with Heart Team. This week we are playing with Sahara Sand.

Sahara Sand

My card is a super quick and easy one this week, as I was running a bit late to get it created and up on my blog. I had the colour scheme and products in my head though, so it was pretty quick to get it done. I have used the cactus Cuties punch bundle from the 2022 Stampin' Up! January to June Mini Catalogue.

Stampin Up Cactus Cuties Hello Card, by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

I have used Shimmery White for my background and have embossed the front layer with the Painted Texture embossing folder (I used my blending brushes to add dome Sahara Sand ink in the centre before I embossed). The pot is stamped in Sahara Sand, the cactus in Mint Macaron and the flowers in Polished Pink.

Here's a closer look at my colour combination. Stampin Up Sahara Sand, Mint Macaron, Polished Pink Colour Combination / Color Combo

The Cactus Cuties punch bundle made cutting out some of the bits for this card super easy. Punch bundles are so quick and easy and I love how reasonably priced they are!

Now it's time to see what the rest of the Art with Heart team girls have done with Sahara Sand. Next up, we have the lovely Christine Blain.

Colour Creations Week 34: Petal Pink

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logoWelcome to this week's Art with Heart Team Colour Creations Blog Hop. Today we are showcasing Petal Pink, a warm peach pink.

273293232_10161535103403098_6283669330474894085_n

Today's card is inspired by my water bottle! It's a lovely ombre pattern in shades of Petal Pink, Polished Pink and Melon Mambo.

Water bottle

Here is my card. I really love how it turned out, even though I kind of made it up as I went along!

My base card is Petal Pink, and the second layer is Petal Pink embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder.

Step by Step Instructions for Stamped Piece

  1. I started with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock and I used my blending brushes to lay down some Polished Pink ink in the bottom half, and Petal Pink ink in the top half, with lots of blending at the intersection.
  2. Next I blended a little Melon Mambo right at the bottom.
  3. I embossed the small floral image from Blessings of Home stamp set (in the 2022 January to June Mini Catalogue) in white over the top of the blended ink.
  4. Next I used a water painter (the fine tip one) to remove a lot of the ink colour from the leaves and petals. You just brush with water and it lightens the ink lots as it dries.
  5. Finally I added additional ink colours onto the image. I used Polished Pink and Rich Razzleberry for the flowers and Old Olive for the leaves.

To finish my card, I mounted the stamped piece onto a piece of Basic Gray cardstock, and tucked one of the Heart and Home Doilies underneath (the Basic Gray one). I adhered this with Dimensionals. I stamped the long birthday sentiment from the Blessings of Home stamp set in Basic Grey onto Shimmery white, cut it into strips and adhered with Stampin' Seal. I finished off with a double bow of Grey Granite bakers twine.

I hope you like today's card. Now it's time to check out what the rest of today's participants from the Art with Heart team have been making with Petal Pink. Next up we have the lovely Diane Furniss.

Colour Creations Week 33: Pear Pizazz with Stampin' Up! Garden Greenhouse

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logoHello friends. Another week of Colour Creations for you. This week we have Pear Pizazz, a lovely subtle green with a warm undertone. Pear

I have combined three of my favourite products from the January to June Mini Catalogue in today's card. These are Greenhouse Garden bundle, the Bough Punch and the Abstract Beauty 4x6" Specialty Designer Series Paper. You can see these products in my online store using the links at the end of the page, and there are also product photos further down the post.

I started with a Pear Pizazz side folding C6 card. My next layer is a piece of Pear Pizazz embossed with one of the Greenery Mini Embossing Folders. I really love this embossed pattern. My next layer is a piece of the gorgeous Abstract Beauty specialty DSP. I love the bright happy colours in this paper. It also has some gold foiling.

Next up I have a piece of Basic White cardstock 9.6cm x 7.5cm. I stamped the largest foliage image (from the Garden Greenhouse stamp set) in Pear Pizazz ink. The teeny flowers were added using Polished Pink ink. These were super easy to line up as the stamp set is photopolymer. Make sure you line the bottom of the foliage up with the bottom of the Basic White cardstock piece.

Next up I cut my greenhouse pieces from the Greenhouse Dies. I cut the solid piece from a Window Sheet, and the outline piece with Silver foil. I attached the Silver Foil to an adhesive sheet before I diecut, so it could easily be attached t0 the Window Sheet. I attached the Window sheet to the card with a couple of small pieces of Stampin' Seal. next time I will use mini glue dots, or try sponging a thin layer of Multipurpose Liquid Glue as I have heard that works too.

To finish off my card. I punched the foliage shapes from the Bough punch in Pear Pizazz (the larger piece) and Polished Pink (the smaller piece). There are great foliage pieces included in the Greenhouse dies too, but I wanted to try out my Bough Punch. Finally I stamped the sentiment in Memento black ink and added a couple of Matte Black Dots.

Two Stampin' Up! Gray Granite Christmas Cards for Colour Creations.

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logo

Hello stampers! I'm playing along with my team Colour Creations blog hop today. We are using one of my very favourite neutral colours, Gray Granite. This is a beautiful 'griege' shade - a little bit grey, a little bit beige.

GG

Since I'm right in the swing of Christmas cards right now, I have two Gray Granite Christmas cards to share with you today. The first one uses Merriest Moments bundle from the Stampin' Up! Australia July to December Mini Catalogue.

Stampin 2021 Merriest Moments Christmas Card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Melbourne, Australia

I have used the Merriest Moments embossing folder on the Gray Granite cardstock layer, and then used my sponge dauber to sponge on a little more Gray Granite ink to the embossed bit to highlight it some more. I've stamped the Poinsettia's in Blackberry Bliss, and added some gold embellishments. Both of these colours work great with Gray Granite.

The next card is a case of one of the free tutorials I sent my subscribers a few weeks ago. I love how the design of that one turned out, that I recreated it in Gray Granite too.

Stampin 2021 Peaceful Deer Christmas Card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Melbourne, Australia

For this one I have used some of the new Ever Eden DSP, coming to customers along with coordinating embellishments and an early release bundle from the January to June mini catalogue. I have used the Evening Evergreen jewels from the 2021-22 InColor Jewels pack, some gold twine from the Simply Elegant Trim Combo and the sentiment, deer and coordinating punch are from the Peaceful Deer Bundle. That's the Timeworn Type embossing folder on the background Gray Granite piece. Such a GORGEOUS folder!

Before we move onto the next card, here's a fun blooper for you. Our lovely Simba likes to get in on the photo love sometimes when I am trying to take photos of my cards. He even looks like he is posing in this one.

GG and Simba

Now it's time to move on and see what the next Art with Heart team member has made with Gray Granite. Next up we have the lovely Theresa Gerrard. I really enjoy her creations.

Stampin' Up! Forever Blossoms, for Colour Creations: Flirty Flamingo

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logoToday the Art with Heart Colour Creations girls are are playing with Flirty Flamingo, which is one of our mid pinks in the brights colour group.  Flirty F

I have a water-coloured card today, using the Forever Blossoms stamp set from the 2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. This is such a pretty blossom image don't you think? I have coloured the blossoms in Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo, which I think is more the colours of nectarine or plum blossom.

Stampin Up Forever Blossoms and Enchanted in Beauty 2021 birthday card by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator, Melbourne, Australia

Using die cut shapes can really elevate your card design. I have used Ornate Layers Dies to cut out the water-coloured image, and the gorgeous Encircled in Beauty dies for the Flirty Flamingo piece underneath. You can view all the products I have used in today's card using the links at the end of the post. My base card is Gray Granite and I have stamped the same image on the top left and bottom right, in Gray Granite ink.

The sentiment I have used is from Best Year stamp set, which is also in the current Annual Catalogue. I stamped it onto a scrap of Fluid 100 Watercolour paper using Crumb Cake ink, trimmed it and used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch on the end. I also lightly sponged the edges of the sentiment label with Crumb Cake ink using a sponge dauber. Champagne Rhinestones finish off my card.

Here's another look at my colour combination for today.
