2023 Stampin' Up! Colour Refresh Coming Soon / Retiring Products

Stampin' Up! Colour Refresh

Stampin' Up! colour is about to get a shake up with a colour refresh coming soon!

Copy of Colour refresh coming soon (1000 × 1500 px)

We don't know what the new colours are yet, and which ones are retiring, but all of that information will be announced on March 30th in Australia.  I'll be letting my subscribers and posting here as soon as we know, so make sure to Subscribe to my email news, or follow my blog posts by email (sign up in the sidebar) to keep up with all the news.

Stampin' Up! are all about staying relevant and setting trends, plus filling in any gaps our current offering might have. We always introduce 5 new InColors each year, and they stay around for 2 years. This colour refresh goes beyond that though and will retire some of the core colours too and bring in new ones (some completely new, some are bringing back favourite InColors from past years). I can't wait to see! The last time we had a colour refresh was 2018, so it will be fun to have more new colours to play with.

If you are interested in learning all about some great Stampin' Up! colour comparisons and colour combinations, I have a Pinterest board with over 700 pins to give you lots of ideas. This is where I will also be posting combinations, comparisons and colour samples with the new 2023 colours, so it's a great one to follow. Both of these catalogues will be ending at the end of April, and the new 2023/24 Annual Catalogue will be available to purchase from early May. Colour Creations Week 34: Petal Pink

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logoWelcome to this week's Art with Heart Team Colour Creations Blog Hop. Today we are showcasing Petal Pink, a warm peach pink.

273293232_10161535103403098_6283669330474894085_n

Today's card is inspired by my water bottle! It's a lovely ombre pattern in shades of Petal Pink, Polished Pink and Melon Mambo.

Water bottle

Here is my card. I really love how it turned out, even though I kind of made it up as I went along!

My base card is Petal Pink, and the second layer is Petal Pink embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder.

Step by Step Instructions for Stamped Piece

  1. I started with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock and I used my blending brushes to lay down some Polished Pink ink in the bottom half, and Petal Pink ink in the top half, with lots of blending at the intersection.
  2. Next I blended a little Melon Mambo right at the bottom.
  3. I embossed the small floral image from Blessings of Home stamp set (in the 2022 January to June Mini Catalogue) in white over the top of the blended ink.
  4. Next I used a water painter (the fine tip one) to remove a lot of the ink colour from the leaves and petals. You just brush with water and it lightens the ink lots as it dries.
  5. Finally I added additional ink colours onto the image. I used Polished Pink and Rich Razzleberry for the flowers and Old Olive for the leaves.

To finish my card, I mounted the stamped piece onto a piece of Basic Gray cardstock, and tucked one of the Heart and Home Doilies underneath (the Basic Gray one). I adhered this with Dimensionals. I stamped the long birthday sentiment from the Blessings of Home stamp set in Basic Grey onto Shimmery white, cut it into strips and adhered with Stampin' Seal. I finished off with a double bow of Grey Granite bakers twine.

I hope you like today's card. Now it's time to check out what the rest of today's participants from the Art with Heart team have been making with Petal Pink. Next up we have the lovely Diane Furniss.

Two Stampin' Up! Gray Granite Christmas Cards for Colour Creations.

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logo

Hello stampers! I'm playing along with my team Colour Creations blog hop today. We are using one of my very favourite neutral colours, Gray Granite. This is a beautiful 'griege' shade - a little bit grey, a little bit beige.

GG

Since I'm right in the swing of Christmas cards right now, I have two Gray Granite Christmas cards to share with you today. The first one uses Merriest Moments bundle from the Stampin' Up! Australia July to December Mini Catalogue.

I have used the Merriest Moments embossing folder on the Gray Granite cardstock layer, and then used my sponge dauber to sponge on a little more Gray Granite ink to the embossed bit to highlight it some more. I've stamped the Poinsettia's in Blackberry Bliss, and added some gold embellishments. Both of these colours work great with Gray Granite.

The next card is a case of one of the free tutorials I sent my subscribers a few weeks ago. I love how the design of that one turned out, that I recreated it in Gray Granite too.

Stampin 2021 Peaceful Deer Christmas Card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Melbourne, Australia

For this one I have used some of the new Ever Eden DSP, coming to customers along with coordinating embellishments and an early release bundle from the January to June mini catalogue. I have used the Evening Evergreen jewels from the 2021-22 InColor Jewels pack, some gold twine from the Simply Elegant Trim Combo and the sentiment, deer and coordinating punch are from the Peaceful Deer Bundle. That's the Timeworn Type embossing folder on the background Gray Granite piece. Such a GORGEOUS folder!

Before we move onto the next card, here's a fun blooper for you. Our lovely Simba likes to get in on the photo love sometimes when I am trying to take photos of my cards. He even looks like he is posing in this one.

Now it's time to move on and see what the next Art with Heart team member has made with Gray Granite. Next up we have the lovely Theresa Gerrard. I really enjoy her creations.

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logoToday the Art with Heart Colour Creations girls are are playing with Flirty Flamingo, which is one of our mid pinks in the brights colour group.  Flirty F

I have a water-coloured card today, using the Forever Blossoms stamp set from the 2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. This is such a pretty blossom image don't you think? I have coloured the blossoms in Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo, which I think is more the colours of nectarine or plum blossom.

Using die cut shapes can really elevate your card design. I have used Ornate Layers Dies to cut out the water-coloured image, and the gorgeous Encircled in Beauty dies for the Flirty Flamingo piece underneath. You can view all the products I have used in today's card using the links at the end of the post. My base card is Gray Granite and I have stamped the same image on the top left and bottom right, in Gray Granite ink.

The sentiment I have used is from Best Year stamp set, which is also in the current Annual Catalogue. I stamped it onto a scrap of Fluid 100 Watercolour paper using Crumb Cake ink, trimmed it and used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch on the end. I also lightly sponged the edges of the sentiment label with Crumb Cake ink using a sponge dauber. Champagne Rhinestones finish off my card.

Here's another look at my colour combination for today.

Stampin Up Nothing Better Than handmade Cocktail Card for a friend

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logo

Hello stampers. It's time for a colour challenge. This week the Art With Heart Colour Creations girls are playing with Daffodil Delight, a lovely crisp bright yellow that reminds me of Spring and all things happy. Daff Delight

For today's card, I have decided to play with the Nothing More Than stamp set, a fun stamp set which you will find in the Stampin' Up! Australia Annual Catalogue. I love playing with layers of cardstock and Designer Series Paper. You can find all of the products I have used in today's card, by using the individual product shop links at the end of the post.

Here is my colour combination for today.

Cocktail colour

The Polished Pink and Pool Party patterned papers I have used are the reverse sides of the Whimsy and Wonder DSP from the July to December Mini Catalogue. This is a gorgeous Christmas paper, but the reverse sides are really versatile too.

The dotty embossing folder is from the Checks and Dots Mini Embossing Folder duo in the Annual Catalogue.

For the cocktail image, I stamped the outline in Memento Black, and used the Pool Party and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends for the lemon and umbrella. The glass contents is a stamp which I inked up in Daffodil Delight and then lightly stamped off once. I then sponged a little Polished Pink ink around the base before stamping into the glass. As it's a Photopolymer stamp set, it's super easy to line up. I finished my card off with some white embossed sentiments (on Polished Pink cardstock, some white bakers twine, and some of the Polished Pink Jewels (from the 2021-23 InColor Jewels pack).
