Art With Heart Team Colour Creations Blog Hop: Terracotta Tile

Colour Creations 300

Hey there! This week the Colour Creations crew in the Art with Heart team are playing with Terracotta Tile, a new 2019-2021 InColour in the 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Terracotta Tile is a lovely colour, but not one I would find myself instinctively reaching for, so this week was a bit of a challenge to me.

Terracotta Tile

When I am challenged by a colour, I often reach for Designer Series Paper (DSP) that features that colour, and use that to guide me. In this case I have chosen the lovely Mosaic Mood DSP. This gave me the inspiration to combine with Garden Green. I then thought of flowers, and made a multi layered daisy combining the new Medium Daisy Punch with the existing Daisy Punch (LOVE how they layer).

I stamped the Daisy's in So Saffron first (the new Daisy Lane stamp set images that fit both the medium and large Daisy Punch). To give some more interest to my flower, I also spoged some Terracotta Tile ink close to the centre, and then added our GORGEOUS new flower centres. I love these so much. Finally I brushed Wink of Stella all over the petals (hard to see in the photos).

Here's a closer look at some of these yummy products. The Daisy Lane bundle is a new favourite of mine. If you buy either the stamp set or bundle from me (or the other participants in the team) before July 22nd, we will email you a FREE PDF document with 10 fabulous Daisy Lane projects. You can also follow all the links to projects at the end of my post.

The Daisy Lane Cling Bundle includes the stamp set and the Medium Daisy Punch.   You can purchase this bundle at 10% off here in my online store. It's a great price too.

AWHT Stampin' Up! Team Colour Creations Week 49 - Soft Suede

Colour Creations 300

It's been quite a few weeks since I have been able to participate in the Art With Heart Team Colour Creations blog hop. I have to admit that Soft Suede isn't the most inspiring colour for me to jump back in on, but then I saw a picture of a hotel suite today and the colour combination really inspired me as a great colour combination for my nephews 21st birthday card.

Here's the picture. It's the gorgeous Langham Hotel in Sydney. I see a touch of Soft Suede, some Sahara Sand and also one of our new Stampin' Up! 2019 InColours, Pretty Peacock.

Tlsyd-events-ballroom-lobby-1680-945

My card has used a lot more Pretty Peacock than the combination here as used, but I think it still works great with the Soft Suede. I have used one of my favourite new stamp sets in the new 2019 Annual Stampin' Up! catalogue, and one that is PERFECT for masculine cards, A Good Man.

Masculine / male 21st birthday card using Stampin Up 2019 A Good Man Stamp Set. Pretty Peacock color / colour combination. Card by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

Here is the colour combination I used. The watercolour paper is more an off-white, which softens the combination compared to the white here.

Stampin Up Color / Colour combination of Pretty Peacock, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede. This card really demonstrated to me how much I am loving the various types of stitched dies we carry at the moment. I think they give a really professional finish. I have used the Stitched Shape Dies and Stitched Rectangle dies on this card. To colour my image, I have used Blender Pens picking up the ink inside the ink pad lids (Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Seaside Spray and Pretty Peacock).

Masculine / male 21st birthday card using Stampin Up 2019 A Good Man Stamp Set. Pretty Peacock color / colour combination. Card by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

I also used the Subtle embossing folder (PERFECT folder for male cards) to give some additional interest to the Soft Suede and Sahara Sand layers.

Copper foil and copper embossing looks perfect with these colours, so that's what I have gone for. My greeting is from Perennial Birthday, heat embossed using our copper embossing folder. I have cut the numbers from our copper foil card, The dies used for that were the Little Numbers dies which have sadly retired some time ago, but were a perfect size for my card.

Now it's time to head back over to Catherine Proctor, to see what else the lovely Art With Heart team ladies have created using Soft Suede this week. Enjoy!

Pop back in on Thursday for the monthly Art With Heart Team blog hop where we will be showcasing some more new catalogue products.

AWHT Stampin' Up! Team Colour Creations Week 40 - Powder Pink

Colour Creations 300

Hello stamping friends. It's time for another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations blog hop. This week we are playing with Powder Pink. This is a lovely soft pink that was introduced as one of the 2017-2019 Stampin' Up!  InColours. Sadly, this colour will be retiring at the end of May (so make sure you order any re-inkers or additional cardstock, ribbon etc you may want). We will have 5 lovely new InColours though, which I can tell you all about in mid-April.

Powder Pink

I have used Fabulous Flamingo, one of my favourite sets from the 2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue for today's card. I have used Powder Pink for the main layer of the flamingo, and Flirty Flamingo for the second layer.  The stamp set is photopolymer, so it's easy to line the layers up.

Flamingo 1

I have used Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to give some background texture on the layer of Powder Pink cardstock. The patterned paper is Tropical Escape from the 2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I have picked Granny Apple Green out of the paper to mat my stamped image.

Here's a summary of my colour combination for this week:

Claire's Stampin' Up! Colour Combination (2)

After playing with Powder Pink this week, it has reminded me how much I am going to miss my 2017-2019 Stampin' Up! InColours. These were some of my favourite ever InColours. I literally loved them all from day 1. Check out the page for these colours HERE so you don't miss out on any re-inkers or other colour products you need.

Retiring IncoloursNow it's time to head over to Catherine Proctor's blog and check out the other Powder Pink creations this week.

Have a great week, and I will see you back here in a couple of weeks,

Claire

AWHT Stampin' Up! Team Colour Creations Week 38 - Pool Party

Colour Creations 300

Time for the Art With Heart Stampin' Up! Team's Colour Creations. I'm so glad I have been able to create for this blog hop again. I get so much enjoyment creating and sharing with the girls in my team, and for you. This week we are playing with Pool Party. I think this is my most used blue in the Stampin' Up! colour range.

Pool Party

For my crd this week, I have made a fun card using the Saleabration stamp set So Hoppy Together. Did you know you can purchase Framelits for this Saleabration set just in March? Check the product links at the end of my post. The Framelits makes this set so much more versatile and give projects great dimension. Frogs were made to jump afterall!

Stampin Up So Hoppy Together and cordinating framelits. Card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Melbourne Australia.

My colour combination comes straight from the Painted Season DSP I have used - Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist  and Call Me Clover. I could have also used Granny Apple Green to coordinate with the ribbon. I just added a little bit of colour to the frog with my Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. The word 'birthday' comes from the Well Words stamp set in the Occasions Catalogue (this is an AWESOME sentiment set).

Now it's time to head over to Catherine Proctors blog, who puts this challenge together each week. What would we do without her? Catherine is the Northern Beaches area of Sydney if you are looking for a demonstrator in that area. If you right click on the list of names on Catherine's page, you can open each project in a new window, which saves you having to move back and forward all the time,

Let me show you all the fabulous sentiments in the Well Said stamp set. You can buy it with or without the Well Wriiten Framelits (the bundle is at a 10% discount). Having a set like this is a great investment because it allows you to put together so many different sentiments. It is a significant investment, but one I really think you will well and truly get your money's worth. You will find the links to these products and the bundle, in the product links at the end of my post.

Well Said

Well Written

I hope you have enjoyed our Pool Party creations this week. Thanks for stopping by. Looking forward to seeing you back here in a couple of days. I have a scrapbook page for you next.

Have a happy day,

Claire

AWHT Stampin' Up! Team Colour Creations Week 37 - Pineapple Punch

Colour Creations 300

I'm so excited to finally be back playing along with the Colour Creations blog hop with my Art With Heart Team girls. This week we are playing with Pineapple Punch. I have come to really love this bright clean yellow over since it was released as an InColour in June 2018.

Pinepple Punch

I was so excited about using this colour, that I actually ended up making two cards. This first card uses the Beauty Abounds stamp set from the Stampin' Up! 2019 Occasions Catalogue. I love the Bokeh stamps included in this set.

Stampin Up Beauty Abounds card by Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

I forgot to photograph the inside of the card - doh! It says, 'It's a million little things' and I have just used two of the Pineapple Punch Bokeh dots on the inside.

For this card I have combined Pineapple Punch with Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana.

Stampin Up Color / Colour Combination. Pineapple Punch, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo.

My second card uses the Sweetest Thing stamp set and How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper from the Stampin' Up! 2019 Occasions Catalogue. I took my colour inspiration from the paper for this one.  I have used Pineapple Punch as my base colour, and added in some Gorgeous Grape cardstock  and Melon Mambo glitter enamel dots.

The Sweetest Thing stamp set is so fun. There are so many different sweets to stamp in the various jars, and extras to cut out with the coordinating dies. You should definitely check it out!

Now it's time to head over to Catherine Proctor's blog, to see some other Pineapple Punch creations this week.

Also a quick reminder about the fabulous specials on at the moment.
