Stampin' Up! Decorated with Happiness 2022 Christmas Card

Hello friends,

I'm back sharing a 2022 Christmas card with you using the Decorated with Happiness bundle from the 2022 July to December Mini Catalogue.

Stampin Up Decorated with Happiness 2022 Christmas Card by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator, Melbourne Australia.

My card base is Blackberry Bliss, and my centre panel is Shimmery White with Soft Succulent ink blended in an ombre pattern. Before I adhered the blended cardstock to the cardfront, I:

  • Stamped some of the pine leaf pattern on the edges of the Blackberry Bliss cardstock, using Blackberry Bliss ink; and
  • Added a length of scalloped gold foil either side. I die cut this using one of the dies in the Penned Flowers Dies (part of the Hand Penned bundle).

I have cut two of the pine branches (from the Decorated with Pine Dies) in Soft Succulent and adhered them to the blended cardstock (you can either do this by using adhesive sheets, or you can also add a bit of Multipurpose Glue to a silicon sheet and use a sponge dauber to add it to the back of the die cut).

Next I die cut 2 of the baubles in three different papers - Blackberry Bliss cardstock, Very Vanilla Glimmer paper (in the Glimmer Specialty paper pack) and in Gold Foil. I used the adhesive sheets on the back when I cut these baubles. I adhered the Blackberry Bliss ones to the card first, and then filled in the extra pieces alternating between the glimmer paper and the gold foil. For the bows, I have used some Gold and Vanilla Satin-Edged Ribbon (in the July to December Mini Catalogue) which I cut in half lengthways, and some Gold Metallic Trim (from the Simply Elegant Trim Combo). I just made a bow out of both lengths together.

To finish my card, I stamped the greeting from the Decorated with Happiness Stamp Set, in Blackberry Bliss ink. My embellishments are the 2021-2023 InColor Opal Rounds.

Gift your handmade woodslice Christmas ornaments in these perfectly sized gift boxes.

Remember those stamped woodslice ornaments I made back in November? (HERE is the link to that post and video). Here's another look at them. Well it came time to send them on their merry way to my family for Christmas, and I was thinking how to wrap them, and I came accross the perfect size gift box, so I wanted to share this tip with you.

The Stampin' Up! Mini Pizza bozes are the perfect size to fit them in with some tissue paper. They are available in Whisper White and Gold (like shiny foil), and you get eight in a pack. The Whisper White ones work out at $1.26 each, and the Gold ones at $1.54 each. They are even food safe if you wanted to replace the ornaments for chocolates or cookies.

They are a perfect fit for the woodslice ornaments. I just wrapped them in some tissue paper inside the box.

The Whiusper White ones are perfect to stamp on with Stampin' Up! Claasic Ink Pads, so it's quick and easy to decorate. I then popped them in with the Christmas gifts I was sending to my family interstate.

Handmade 2020 Christmas Wood Slice Ornaments using Stampin' Up! products.

Hello craft people. I have something a bit different for you today. I made these hand stamped wood slice Cjristmas ornaments using Stampin Up products, and I have a video tutorial to show you how I made them. I have also included a supply list, and where to buy the wood slices if you are in Australia.

I love how these turned out. I have used the Wishes and Wonder stamp set, and In the Pines stamp set (both from the 2020 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue) with some colouring and masking to make them. I love the handmade farmhouse style of these DIY ornaments!

I've made a video tutorial to show you how this one is made.

Here's a closer look at the one that I painted with acrylic paint first.

Here's a closer look at the embellishments I chose for each ornament. I wanted this one to be gold and sparkly.

For this one I wanted a more neutral effect, so I used linen thread and Very Vanilla scalloped lace with the jingle bells (all available in my online store - see links at the end of the post).

Where did I get my supplies?

  • For the Stampin' Up! products I used to stamp, colour and embellish, you can find the product links to my online store at the end of the post.
  • I got the sealant and acryic paint at my local hardware store in the craft aisle.
  • I got my wood slices from a local to me supplier, in the Yarra Valley of Victoria Australia. I was really happy with the smooth sanding and quality of their products, packaging and quick delivery (and I love to shop local), which means I am happy to recommend them for those of you who live in Australia. They are called Stringybark Supplies and they have many different sizes and options at a good price for the great quality.

I hope you enjoy making you own hand stamped wood slice ornaments. I intend to write a little message on the back and gift them (I love the tradition of gifting ornaments). They would be great for market stalls too.
