How to use Stampin' Up! Pigment Sprinkles and four bold bright cards.

I've been playing with Stampin' Up's Pigment Sprinkles over the past few weeks and have come up a video for you as well as four card ideas using the sprinkles.

Pigment sprinkles made their debut in the 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. These sprinkles are watercolour crystals that explode with colour when mixed with water (you will see that happen in the video). The pieces you create make great backgrounds and elements for your projects.

The pigment sprinkles come in a set of 6 colours, which perfectly coordinate with 7 of our Stampin' Up! colours.

The bottles each have a colour label on the top which makes it quick and easy to find your colours.

The dispensers are really great too! When you unscrew the lid, there is a little flip up lid piece (like salt and pepper shakers) to control how much you use (you only need a little bit as you will see in the video.

Find out LOTS more about the sprinkles in this video I have created for you.

Here are the four cards I created using the pieces I created in the video, and some other pieces I created playing with the sprinkles.

This card features a background I have created using the Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape pigment sprinkles. I have also Stitched Nested Labels dies, Well Written Dies and Well Said stamp set (all from the 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue). My base card is Gorgeous Grape.

For this second card, I have used a piece I created using Mango Melody and Melon Mambo Pigment Sprinkles. I then embossed the greeting and image from Healing Hugs stamp set onto the piece with White embossing powder. I have also used Stitched Rectangle dies on my card.

In this third card I have used the Bermuda Bay sprinkles on my background. These sprinkles are also an excellent match for Pretty Peacock (which is the colour of my base card and die cut from Merry Christmas dies). The 'birthday' part of my greeting is from the Well Said stamp set.

For my final card, I have die cut letters from a piece I had created using the Pigment Sprinkles. I used the Hand Lettered Prose dies to cut the letters, and Well Said stamp set for the other part of the greeting. The background on this card was made using a watercolour wash and some ink splatters in Mango Melody.

Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree with Brusho Micropowders

Today I decided to show you another card with Brusho, this time a sympathy or get well card using Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree. I have used the Gamboge pot of Brusho for this card.

Brusho 1

I really love the effect I got with the Brusho as a bright sky or sunset. I am not sure how that small circular gap happened but I quite like that it did, as it kind of looks like a sun or moon. I did the Brusho piece first (again just sprinkling Brusho onto the watercolor paper which I had sprayed a few times with a water mister). When that was dry, I over stamped the Brusho with the the image from Lovely as Tree stamp set using Early Espresso ink. My greeting is from Flourishing Phrases stamp set. I have used  the 1 3/4" circle punch for the greeting and then cut a 2" circle from Copper Foil Cardstock to mat it (I used the Circle Layering Framelits for this step). I carried the Copper Foil Cardstock mat to the stamped image too, and the base card is just Early Espresso.

Brisho 1a

Here's a bit more about how to use Brusho. You can purchase it in my online store using the links at the end of the post.

Have fun playing with Brusho.

Stampin' Up! Seaside Shore with Brusho micropowders.

Hello again.

Today I have a fun card for you where I have used our Prussian Blue Brusho (just sprinkled onto watercolour paper that I had misted well with water), as a background for this fun ocean themed card.

Brusho 2

I really love the random patterns that the Brusho creates when it hits the damp paper.  The Prussian Blue is a perfect colour for the look of the ocean too. I have teamed it with Lemon Lime Twist, Tangerine Tango and Basic Black to create this card. I have also used some of our Glitter and Clear Epoxy Shapes (link at end of post) to create dimension for bubbles.

Brusho 2z

I hope you like today's card. Seaside Shore is such a fun stamp set to create with.

Have a happy and creative day,

Claire
