Today I have a handmade birthday card for you using the Stampin' Up! Queen Bee bundle from the 2023 January to April Mini Catalogue, and the Elegant Border dies (released March 2023 as part of the Online Exclusives drop). This bundle really took my eye when I first glanced at the catalogue. I love it's vintage vibe.
My first sample uses Petal Pink as the base and some die cuts and some Fancy Flora DSP as the second layer. The bee is stamped in Soft Suede and immediately over-stamped with Versamark and clear embossed. This gives a deeply coloured, shiny image.
The floral die cuts fit really nicely around the largest stitched circle in the Stylish Shapes dies. I love that stitched label which comes in the dies from the bundle too. I popped a couple of Champagne Rhinestones on either end. The little flower is die cut from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper with a pearl in the middle.
For my second sample, I have used Crumb Cake as the base, and I have randomly stamped on the base card in Crumb cake ink. I used one of the die cut Elegant Border Dies (in the Online Exclusives section of the online store or order direct through me - see below) for the Evening Evergreen piece, and a scrap of Fancy Flora that was laying on my desk for the DSP piece. I think this particular Elegant Border piece is really well suited to vintage cards. I also die cut some of the smaller bees and leaves with the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.
For the Queen Bee, I embossed her in gold, and popped her on top of some linen thread.
