Stampin' Up! Boughs of Holly 2022 Christmas money holder & FREE PDF tutorial

Hello friends.

Today I am sharing one of the projects I recently shared in my subscriber tutorials (if you would like to receive tutorials on projects like this in your email inbox SUBSCRIBE HERE - they are free).

It's a festive money holder for those who like to give money for gifts at Christmas, and I have used the Stampin' Up! Boughs of Holly Suite from the 2022 July to December Mini Catalogue. This was inspired by my clever sister who makes these.

I love the traditional combination of red (both Real Red and Cherry Cobbler), Garden Green and Crumb Cake with a touch of gold. It's one of my favourite Christmas colour combinations. The Boughs of Holly DSP is so delicious and the suite is lovely.

I created a belly band band decorated it with die cuts from the bundle, as well as some gold and red embellishments. My sentiment is from Brightest Glow stamp set, and this sentiment fits perfectly in the stitched squares which are in the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Stampin' Up! 2022 Christmas Cards: Spruced Up

Hello again, time for some catch up posts now that my blog is behaving as it should.

I'm busy making more Christmas cards, and have decided to participate in Martin Stone's (Martin is a UK Demonstrator) 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge in November. The challenge for the 1st had 'Red' as the theme, and since I was a day behind I used one of the cards I created for last month's Spruced Up Class (the PDF for this 5 card class with steps and measurements in imperial and metric is available for instant download for $15AUD or less than $10USD here on my PDF class page).

So onto today's card. The shade of red I chose was Sweet Sorbet, one of the 2022 new InColours. I am really enjoying this red right now. My slimline card is 9cm x 21cm once folded to perfectly fit inside our Slimline Envelopes (see below).

It was actually a very simple card to put together. Using our Adhesive Sheets (see below) before die-cutting the present outlines really helps the process.

I added some subtle embellishments with a silver metallic thread (from Simply Elegant Trim - see below), and the white adhesive sequins from Adhesive Backed Seasonal Sequins (see below). There is also gold, Garden Green and Sweet Sorbet in the pack so it's a great festive embellishment.

Set of 4 Stampin' Up! Santa Express / Santa's Delivery Slimline Cards

Hello friends,

Today I have a set of 4 Santa Express Suite slimline cards to show you.

These cards were super simple to make, as I just used one sheets of the 12x12" Santa Express DSP for the imagery. Here's a look at the DSP pack. There are 12 double sided sheets of 12x12: DSP.

This is the sheet I used for the imagery. It was super easy to cut four strips for the main section of the cards. I used the reverse of the sheet in the bottom right for the other DSP.

My base card is Petal Pink, and I have added a mat of Poppy Parade to the paper strips. For the base of the Shaded Spruce DSP, I left two of them straight, used the scallop die from the Scalloped Contours Dies for one, and the other one was hand-torn.

For the sentiments, I used Santa's Delivery stamp set from this suite, and they were stamped in Evening Evergreen. I stamped them onto either the Scalloped Contours or Stitched Rectangle die cuts. For embellishing I used the Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and the silver metallic thread from the Simply Elegant Trims. I also decorated some of our Slimline Envelopes with stamping from the Santa's Delivery stamp set in Evening Evergreen and Poppy Parade.

Stampin' Up! Leaf Fall Embossing Folder and the Sponged Embossing Technique.

Hello stampers. Today I have a quick and easy technique for you, but one that can create a real WOW effect with your embossing folders. I have used the Leaf Fall embossing folder from the 2022 Stampin' Up! July to December Mini Catalogue.

I started by embossing a piece of Shimmery White cardstock in the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. Then added colour with sponge daubers tapped onto my ink pads. I started with Soft Sea Foam, and then I added in some Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze ink on part sections of the embossing. My sentiment is from the Ringed with Nature stamp set, and is stamped in Early Espresso. The embossed piece is mounted onto a mat of Early Espresso and then onto an Old Olive base card. Finally I added a bow using a length of Linen Thread, and the Gold Trim from the Simply Elegant Trim Pack.

I really like the earthy colour combination for this card.
