Stampin' Up! Fancy Frames Dies & my 5 Favourite new Dies in the 2022 Annual Catalogue.

We have some great new stand alone die sets in the 2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I have used two of them on this card, and will show a couple of others I love after the card.

These cards came together so easily with some cardstock, Texture Chic Designer Series Paper and the two dies in the Fancy Frames die set.

For this card, I have used Evening Evergreen for my frame. My base card is also Evening Evergreen and I have used Blushing Bride as a very thin mat around the layer of Texture Chic DSP. My sentiment is from the Potted Geranium stamp set and is stamped in Soft Succulent. The two die cuts I have layered for the sentiment are from Stylish Shapes, another one of my favourite die sets. I finished the card off with a couple of the 2021-2023 InColor Opal Rounds (the Soft Succulent Ones).

For my second card, I used a Blushing Bride card base, and Blushing Bride for the die cut. The sentiment is from Potted Geranium, and this label from the coordinating Geranium dies. I have embellished this card with some Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon, and a couple of the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Here's a closer look at the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper. I love the grungy vibe of this paper and there is foiling on one side too. Stampin' Up! Potted Geraniums Birthday Card

Geraniums are one of those plants that evoke happy feelings and memories for me, so when I saw the Potted Geraniums bundle in the 2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, it was straight into my cart! Geraniums were my Dad's favourite flower (especially white ones) and they also remind me of Spring, and the gorgeous flowering balconies in Barcelona and Paris.

Here's my first card with this bundle.

I have started with a Basic Gray base, and used my blending brush to add a little Pool Party to the Basic White card front. There's so many good things to love about this bundle! For starters you can either stamp or die cut the flowers and both give you a lovely two toned effect, which Geraniums are known for. I have used Melon Mambo and Polished Pink for the flowers, Garden Green for the leaves (stamped off for the more solid layer), and Basic Gray for the pot (I love grey pots!).

Secondly, I love the two step stamping on both the foliage and the weathered pot. There's even a stamp and die to cut out the thin strip of soil you can see. Thirdly, I love the little plant label that has three different words / phrases that fit in it.

Finally, I LOVE the sentiments in this yet; both the words and the font. There's also a really gorgeous stitched label die included. I finished my card off by embellishing with some Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels.

Stampin' Up! Sending Smiles Birthday Card

Hello friends,

I hope you are having a fabulous Monday. It's a beautiful sunny autumn day here, and sunshine always makes me smile.

Today I have a birthday card using the gorgeous new 2022 bundle Sending Smiles. This card is also one of the six cards included in my Sending Smiles Class, which is now available as an instant download PDF class (instructions in metric and imperial). You can find the class HERE.

I've used the Awash in Beauty DSP in the class, which is a beautiful floral paper with really gorgeous neutral sheets on the reverse. Having the grids on this one made it easy to line up the background sentiments (well relatively as I still was crooked on a couple!).

I've done a bit of masking of the sentiments to get the sentiment on the card front. Just use our new masking paper or a postal note to cover the cardstock where you don't want the sentiments stamped and you can come up with all sorts of combinations of words and sentiments.

Stampin' Up! Sympathy Card with the new Fern 3D Embossing Folder & Sun Prints DSP

Hello friends, lets dive right in and have a look at some of the embossing folders in the new 2022-23 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I love how embossing folders create a real WOW on your papercraft projects, for a really reasonable cost. There are some really beautiful new embossing folders in the new catalogue. Check them out here in my online store.

The first embossing folder one that jumped into my cart, was the Fern 3D embossing folder. I just saw so much potential with it. I'm a big lover of plants and gardens too, so this probably didn't come as a surprise to anyone that knows me well. I made this sympathy card for one of my lovely customers who sadly lost her partner.

The new Sun Prints DSP is a perfect accompaniment to this card (the colours are Starry Sky, Night of Navy and White in this piece. The paper pack has Sahara Sand I love how well the colours blend with the Sahara Sand base and embossed layer, plus the subtle fern print is a great tie-in to my card.

The Sun Prints suite comes with it's own bundle which is gorgeous (see below), but for this card I used my carryover Forever Flourishing dies, which are also a great match. My sentiment is from the carryover Inspired Thoughts stamp set, and the sentiment label is from the new stand alone die set Stylish Shapes. You will be seeing a LOT of this new die set! A Linen Thread bow completes the card.
