Two Stampin' Up! Gray Granite Christmas Cards for Colour Creations.
October 20, 2021
Hello stampers! I'm playing along with my team Colour Creations blog hop today. We are using one of my very favourite neutral colours, Gray Granite. This is a beautiful 'griege' shade - a little bit grey, a little bit beige.
Since I'm right in the swing of Christmas cards right now, I have two Gray Granite Christmas cards to share with you today. The first one uses Merriest Moments bundle from the Stampin' Up! Australia July to December Mini Catalogue.
I have used the Merriest Moments embossing folder on the Gray Granite cardstock layer, and then used my sponge dauber to sponge on a little more Gray Granite ink to the embossed bit to highlight it some more. I've stamped the Poinsettia's in Blackberry Bliss, and added some gold embellishments. Both of these colours work great with Gray Granite.
The next card is a case of one of the free tutorials I sent my subscribers a few weeks ago. I love how the design of that one turned out, that I recreated it in Gray Granite too.
For this one I have used some of the new Ever Eden DSP, coming to customers along with coordinating embellishments and an early release bundle from the January to June mini catalogue. I have used the Evening Evergreen jewels from the 2021-22 InColor Jewels pack, some gold twine from the Simply Elegant Trim Combo and the sentiment, deer and coordinating punch are from the Peaceful Deer Bundle. That's the Timeworn Type embossing folder on the background Gray Granite piece. Such a GORGEOUS folder!
Before we move onto the next card, here's a fun blooper for you. Our lovely Simba likes to get in on the photo love sometimes when I am trying to take photos of my cards. He even looks like he is posing in this one.
Now it's time to move on and see what the next Art with Heart team member has made with Gray Granite. Next up we have the lovely Theresa Gerrard. I really enjoy her creations.
If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of this week’s host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor, and she will have the list of all participants.

Before I comment on your gorgeous cards, Claire, can I please request that simba is in all card photos? He is adorable, as are both your cards. I especially love the colour combination and the rich embossing of your first cad.

Beautiful cards Claire. The shaded leaves on the first one really took my fancy.

Blackberry Bliss and gold look striking with Gray Granite, Claire; lovely work with the Merriest Moments bundle. Simba definitely looks like he's trying to copy the deer on your second card!

Grey granite works so well with the jewel tones you've paired it with. The pops of Blackberry on the first, and the rich green on the second look amazing.

Haha Simba getting in on the action!!!! Both cards are lovely, but the first one is so classical Christmas. I love the added Gold Twine on both cards and the darker greens look great with Gray Granite on the deer card.

Two fabulous cards and one beautiful pup Claire. I really like the first card as the combination of Gray Granite and Blackberry Bliss really appeals to me. I love your large gold bows too. So festive.

Beautiful Simba!
Great Gray Granite cards Claire. I particularly love your first one. Lovely rich colour from Blackberry Bliss which does indeed look gorgeous with Gray Granite and those lovely gold elements.
