Stampin Up Nothing Better Than handmade Cocktail Card for a friend

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logo

Hello stampers. It's time for a colour challenge. This week the Art With Heart Colour Creations girls are playing with Daffodil Delight, a lovely crisp bright yellow that reminds me of Spring and all things happy. Daff Delight

For today's card, I have decided to play with the Nothing More Than stamp set, a fun stamp set which you will find in the Stampin' Up! Australia Annual Catalogue. I love playing with layers of cardstock and Designer Series Paper. You can find all of the products I have used in today's card, by using the individual product shop links at the end of the post.

Here is my colour combination for today.

Cocktail colour

The Polished Pink and Pool Party patterned papers I have used are the reverse sides of the Whimsy and Wonder DSP from the July to December Mini Catalogue. This is a gorgeous Christmas paper, but the reverse sides are really versatile too.

The dotty embossing folder is from the Checks and Dots Mini Embossing Folder duo in the Annual Catalogue.

For the cocktail image, I stamped the outline in Memento Black, and used the Pool Party and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends for the lemon and umbrella. The glass contents is a stamp which I inked up in Daffodil Delight and then lightly stamped off once. I then sponged a little Polished Pink ink around the base before stamping into the glass. As it's a Photopolymer stamp set, it's super easy to line up. I finished my card off with some white embossed sentiments (on Polished Pink cardstock, some white bakers twine, and some of the Polished Pink Jewels (from the 2021-23 InColor Jewels pack).

What a cheery colour combination - love it! I really like the dotty embossing, and all the patterns on the papers ... as well as the way you've coloured the cocktail/glass, Claire.

A bright happy card Claire. I want one of those cocktails. Love you colour combo combining Polished Pink and a little Pool Party with Daffodil Delight. Your card stock & DSP layers with some embossing included is lovely. All together gorgeous. Xxx

Such a happy colour combination and a great way to show the versatility of these gorgeous Christmas papers. I love the way you've layered these DSP papers with the embossed papers too. And now I need a cocktail!!

Beautiful, bright happy card Claire, the colours you’ve used are perfect.

Love the bright colour combination Claire and your cocktail drink has been nicely coloured with the blends - just what I would love on a Friday night after work (even in lockdown)! Love all those layered DSP and particularly the embossed dotty strip.

What a lovely bright card Claire, it really does sing Cocktail hour.

This card could not be more perfect right now, as we struggle with lockdown. Send me one of those glorious cocktails! I love all the layers and the colours are perfect.

What a perfect card to turn up in someones letterbox during lockdown!

Beautiful card Claire, and I swear that cocktail has my name on it! A rather magical colour combination.

Your layering is wonderful, and your cocktail is good enough to drink. It looks fabulous! Bring on summer, I say.

Your colour palette is so bright and cheery Claire, and the layers on your card lovely. Your card reminds me that summer is just around the corner. Yay!!!

Such a gorgeous and bright combination of colours on your very fun card Claire.
