Stampin Up Australia: Cinnamon Cider Thinking of You Card using Quiet Meadow Bundle

Colour Creations 2021 to 2022 logo

Hello friends. Today I am participating in my Art with Heart Team Colour Creations Blog Hop. I'm so luck to have a team full of amazing creative people who love to create and share with each other, and who jump in and run activities like this for our team. It's so fun!

This week's colour is Cinnamon Cider, one of the 2020 InColors. I really love this gorgeous mid brown colour. It really does remind me of a comforting warm drink.

Here is a Thinking of You card I came up with for today's challenge. It was made much easier by using one of the Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories and More Cards in the new Stampin' Up! Australia July to December Mini Catalogue. The rest of my card uses the Quiet Meadow Bundle from the 2020 Annual Catalogue.

I used Early Espresso ink to stamp one of the stamps from the Quiet Meadow stamp set onto the left of the label shape on the pre-printed base card. This stamp set coordinates well with the distressed vintage look of the base card I think.

I die cut some of the stems from the Meadow Dies, in Crumb Cake and Night of Navy and arranged these a little to the right of the stamping. I adhered them in a couple of places with glue dots.

To finish off my card, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and die cut it with the label shape in the Meadow Dies. Before I adhered it with Dimensionals, I coiled a little Natural Linen Thread underneath (I adhered this with some tape).

Let's see what the rest of our team has created with Cinnamon Cider. Next up we have Caroline Manwaring in rural NSW. Caroline always makes the most elegant cards.

I like the image stamped on the Cinnamon Cider panel, and how well all those neutrals work with Cinnamon Cider, Claire. Nice work.

Oh these colours work so well together Claire - what a brilliant was to use those Memories & more card bases. If Cinnamon Cider entered our core colour range it would definitely be a neutral and it looks fantastic the way you've used it here with the other neutrals.

Lovely elegant card Claire and love the addition of Night of Navy foliage to go with the neutral pieces.

A beautiful card Claire. So love your colour combo. The Night of Navy with Crumb Cake & Cinnamon Cider is gorgeous and works so well with the Quiet Meadows bundle. I need to take a better look at the Memories & More cards. Xxx

Great idea to use the Memories and More card bases. I love how you have also stamped on the card base as well.

Your layering is fabulous - both stamps and die cuts. A fantastic card.

Oh my gosh you have made a beautiful card.

How do you make the splatters on the corner of the Cinnamon cider card stock and is this created with the Early Espresso ink?

Thanks for sharing such a pretty card.

A lovely card with all those elements tied together.

Cinnamon Cider paper had not been a favorite until I saw your beautiful card here. It is the perfect background for the pretty meadow stems. Enjoy your day!

How perfect are the memory and more cards for this such a great card. I love the Quiet Meadow Bundle and that pop of Night of Navy is beautiful and just the right colour. So pretty. Love the stamping on the card as well.

A great combination of colours in your Quiet Meadow card, Claire. How good are these pre-printed cards?!! I was really surprised how beautiful they are in real life.

Such a lovely card Claire and such a great way to use the Preprinted cards instead of for Christmas. Quiet Meadow really is a firm favourite of mine.

You have done a sweet work of art combining these colors together. I this a lot. What do you use to create the splatters in the corners.? This really draws my attention the the card.

Such lovely simplicity to your card, Claire. Night of Navy and Crumb Cake compliment Cinnamon Cider so nicely. There’s a lovely warmth to the card.
