Stampin Up Australia Heart of Christmas 2021 Week 4: Painted Christmas
July 26, 2021
Hello friends. Today I have three Christmas cards made with a 6x6" piece of patterned paper and a super easy cutting template. I have used a new Christmas product Suite called Painted Christmas which will be available to purchase from August 3rd.
To make these cards, I started with three Evening Evergreen C6 card bases (piece of A4 cardstock cut in half vertically and folded).
Next step is to cut three pieces of Painted Christmas patterned paper (start with a 6x6" piece), using this cutting template.
I adhered the two left hand size pieces of paper to the bottom of 2 portrait orientation cards, and the right hand side piece to the bottom of one landscape orientation card. The size allows for a small mat around the bottom and sides.
Once the paper was adhered, I ran the whole card fronts through the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. I love the effect this gives.
The next step is to add a t5hin strip of the gorgeous Dazzling specialty paper across the join. This paper is one of the free items you can earn with a $90 order in Saleabration which is on August 3rd to September 30th. It is so gorgeous! You get 8 6x6" sheets in a pack.
For the sentiment, I have used Christmas to Remember stamp set and the Seasonal Labels Dies. The sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen. To finish the card off I have stamped a couple of the holly leaves from Christmas Season stamp set in Garden Green (on a couple of the cards I stamped off once before stamping the holly leaves and I think I like that better) and the berries in real red.
Now it's time to see what the rest of the Art with Heart team have made for Heart of Christmas this week week 4. Next up we have the very creative Christine Blain.
If you get lost along the way, or find a broken link, just head over to this week's blog hop coordinator Tina Gillespie who has a list of all of this week's participants on her blog.
Don't forget to request your Mini Catalogue and Saleabration catalogues either from myself of any or the girls along the way in the blog hop.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'll see you back here again soon.
Warm regards
Claire Daly
Claire I love the effect you've achieved by running the whole card fronts through the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and the classic colour combination on this DSP. That Be Dazzling paper just adds the perfect finishing touch to any card!

The dry-embossing, of the card front and that gorgeous DSP, looks so good, Claire. These cards are beautiful.

Yes, I too love the texture of the Embossing Folder across the entire card front, and I just adore the Be Dazzling strip!

The embossing of the DSP and the addition of the Be Dazzling paper are both lovely elements to your card

Effective use of one piece of 6" x 6" DSP to create 3 fabulous cards. Running them through the embossing folder adds a great touch.
