2021 Stampin Up Heart of Christmas Week 3: Whimsy and Wonder Sneak Peek
July 19, 2021
Hello stampers. Today I am bringing you some Stampin' Up! Christmas cards for Week 3 of Heart of Christmas 2021. This is also a sneak peek of a new suite in the 2021 Stampin Up July to December Mini Catalogue. My strategy for my Christmas cards is to make 4-5 cards each week, so I can keep on top of the ones I would like to send, and have them completed in time to write in by mid November. Then I can concentrate on tags, hand-made gift wrapping and ornaments. Sometimes this will mean quite simple cards and this is what I have gone with this week.
These cards use a brand new suite coming in the July to December Mini Catalogue (you can request your free catalogues HERE, as I have them to mail out now ahead of the catalogue start date on August 3rd). The suite is called Whimsy and Wonder and it's really cute - non traditional colours and a fun take on Christmas.
For this card I have used a 3cm strip of the DSP, and paired it with Blushing Bride cardstock. I have used my blending brushes to blend a little Blushing Bride ink under the whimsical tree die-cuts in Mint Macaron cardstock.
All that was needed to finish these cards was some clear Rhinestone jewels and a greeting from the stamp set in this suite. I stamped that in Smoky Slate to coordinate with the soft colour palette.
Next it's time to check out what the next Art with Heart team member has come up with. We are heading to the blog of Ros Davidson, who has been with my team for nearly 14 years! Ros always thinks outside the box, so I am looking forward to see what she comes up with.
If you get lost along the way, or find a broken link, just head over to this week's blog hop coordinator Sharon Davern who has a list of all of this week's participants on her blog.
Don't forget to request your Mini Catalogue and Saleabration catalogues either from myself of any or the girls along the way in the blog hop.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back again later in the week with some more creations.
Warm regards
Claire Daly
Very pretty (and terribly productive of you!), Claire. I love those skinny little trees.

Very pretty cards. Have not been 'sold' on that set as yet but do love the DSP paper you have used.

These cards are simply sweet Claire. A great idea for mass production and with so many gorgeous patterns in that DSP pack I can imagine them in the different colour ways.

Oh wow, you are going to have loads of cards by November, but a great idea to make multiples of each design. This suite is really lovely for non-traditional Christmas. I adore this paper and can't wait to create with it later this week!

Such pretty cards Claire and that DSP is stunning with gorgeous soft colours. But those skinny trees are too cute and love how they have been used.

Your 'quick and easy' cards are stunning Claire. I am loving the non traditional colour palette in this dsp and you have showcased it perfectly.

I agree its great to be able to create so many cards before mid November so they are ready to send. Even though these are said to be quick and easy they are still lovely.
