Sparkly Poinsettia Petals Stampin' Up! Card Idea for Christmas 2020

Hey friends.

Today I have a super sparkly card for you using the Poinsettia Petals stamp set from the 2020 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue. This would make an awesome 2020 Christmas card! I have also taken advantage of the October Stampin' Up! patterned paper sale by creating a DSP background.

This patterned paper background is one I have used over and over again. Here's the measurements so you can make it yourself.

The base card is a standard C6 top folding card
The Cherry Cobbler cardstock layer is 10.0cm x 14.3 cm
The left side piece of DSP is 13.9cm x 2.7cm
The right top side piece is 8.5cm x 2.7cm
The right bottom piece is 5.2cm x 2.7cm

The Poinsettia Place DSP is one of the DSP's on sale during October too. You can find it using the links at the end of the post.

For the rest of the card, I stamped the 3 layers of the Poinsettia, and a couple of the leaves in Black Stazon onto Fluid 100 watercolour paper. I then watercoloured in Real Red and Cherry Cobbler. To get the amazing sparkle, I painted all the leaves with my clear Wink of Stella Pen (links at end of post).

My sentiment is from another stamp set called Joy and Peace, as I just wanted a small sentiment. I finished my card off with some gold cord trim and Gilded Gems. I'm really loving this beautiful Poinsettia flower and the dimension you can get by layering it and adding the gorgeous beaded pearl embellishment on top.
