Stampin' Up! Jar of Flowers meets Basket of Blooms: Mediterranean flower pots coloured with Stampin' Blends

Hello stampers :)

Today's card is inspired by my memories of Barcelona. One of my happy memories of visiting this beautiful city in 2016, is the beautiful terracotta pots of flowers on balconies. Whenever I see bright tubs of Geraniums, I am reminded of sights like this.

There were also all these beautiful flower stalls lining La Ramblas, selling seedlings and small plants (tomato and fruit bearing too) and cut flowers.

I love the Jar of Flowers stamp set, so decided to pair it with a Teracotta pot to recreate these happy memories. Although the flowers aren't Geraniums, I tried to create the bright happy vibe in my colouring.

The Teracotta Pot is from the Basket of Blooms stamp set, and is coloured using dark and light Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends. I used the colour lifter to remove some colour in the centre where the light would fall.

The Jar of Flowers image has the leaves coloured in light and dark Mint Macaron and dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends. The flowers are a combination of light and dark Flirty Flamingo, light Cherry Cobbler and light and dark Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends. I just kept blending colours until I got the variation in the flower colour I was looking for.

My greeting is from Well Said stamp set, my embellishments are the Elegant Faceted Gems (these are PERFECT for subtle embellishing), and my ribbon and trim is the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack (love, love, love this neutral combo, so versatile). You can view and purchase all the supplies I have used today using the links at the end of my post.

Here's a closer look at the two stamp sets I have used today. They are both new in the 2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

Jar of Flowers can be purchased as a stamp alone set or as a bundle with the punch which cuts out the jar shape (we also have cute mason jar shaker domes to fit - see links below).

Basket of Blooms is a stand alone stamp set, but it does coordinate with the Small Blooms punch which we had as a free choice during Saleabration, and which can still be purchased separately (link below).

I hope today's card has given you some inspiration to either get out your Stampin' Blends, or maybe even get out in the garden. Either way would be a happy way to spend the day in my opinion.
