Stampin' Up! Celebrate Sunflowers coloured with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers

Hello friends. On the weekend I had my first play with the Stampin' Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set from the 2020/21 Annual Catalogue. I was sitting up late and I had some stamped images which I was just colouring in for some quiet 'me' time. I have found this type of 'me' time, and some other self care activities I have stepped up recently, really therapeutic with the challenges 2020 has thrown our way. We are nearly 1 week into our second lockdown in Melbourne (Australia) for Covid-19. This one is for 6 weeks at least, with no home visitors allowed, so there is lots of time for stamping. I pray we flatten the curve and get on top of this virus again soon. I pray for my friends and family around the world, and that the scientists can find a vaccine one day soon.

I think my favourite things about this card are the layering and textures. The Celebrate Sunflowers bundle has lots of elements you can layer, as well as the outline images for colouring.

The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper is a fabulous neutrals pack with lots of photo realistic texture images. I liked the pages that looked like hessian texture, as sunflowers and hession seem a great combination.

I have coloured the sunflower image with Stampin' Blends, on thick Whisper White cardstock. I have used Mango Melody light and dark, as well as some light Blackberry Bliss and light Rick Razzleberry close to the centre of the flower. For the leaves I have stamped and die cut using Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.

For my embellishments I have used  some Braided Linen Trim and the gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.  There are also some Champagne Rhinestones in there. I find the Champagne ones look particularly good with the tones I have used today.

Hope you love today's card as much as I loved creating it. I coloured a few more images on the weekend so I am looking forward to making those into cards and sharing them with you over the next couple of weeks. Wow Claire love you card and all the colours you chose all work together beautifully ❤️

Love your colouring on this sunflower. It's rich looking with the stacked layers and I would have never thought to use the Blackberry Bliss and Rich Razzleberry but I'm going to try that on the next one I colour. Thanks for inspiring.
