Stampin' Up! 2020 Saleabration Happy Birthday To You Pop Up Card

Hey crafty people. Today I have a card for you featuring the Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday To You 2020 Saleabration stamp set, and the coordinating Birthday Dies from the Coordination Promotion. 

This card is a pop up card, which also folds flat and fits into a standard C6 envelope. It was one of my projects for my subscriber free weekly tutorials, but if you missed that, you can get it over on my tutorials page for a small fee (don't forget to subscribe though so you get future tutorials free).

Both the Happy Birthday to You Saleabration stamp set and the Birthday Dies, are only available until the end of March, so don't miss out if you like these.

Before die cutting, I stamped 2 images of the cake with flowers onto Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper using Saddle Brown Stazon. I then coloured the flowers on one image with an Aquapainter and the ink from inside stamp pad lids for Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose and Rich Razzleberry. The I have used Old Olive on the leaves. On the other image I coloured the cake using Crumb Cake. Champagne foil is used for the die cut cake base, and papers from the Subtle 6x6" paper pack for the background papers. Sahara Sand Painted Poppies Congratulations card.

Hi there. Today I have the last of my cards for a little while, using the Painted Poppies stamp set from the 2020 Stampin' Up! January to June Mini Catalogue. This one is another version of a card I made last month.

I just love the elegance of this Tufted Embossing Folder. I wanted as much as possible of it to show, so I have just used Stitched Rectangle Framelits for my stamped panel and Highland Heather mat. My poppy is watercoloured using a Blender Pen and ink from the ink pad lid. I used Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather for the flower and Old Olive for the stem and leaves. My greeting is from the level 1 Saleabration set, Sending You Thoughts, and is stamped in Sahara Sand. You can view all of the products used today, by using the links at the end of the post.

Introducing Your Creative Connection - a new global Stampin' Up! papercraft showcase.

I’m excited to announce the launch of Your Creative Connection today; a bi-monthly creative showcase which will come to you on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.

Your Creative Connection came together from a group of eight global friends wanting to give you a worldwide connection to creativity. We hope to inspire you to connect with us as we share papercraft ideas using Stampin’ Up! products. Each showcase will have a theme, and we will ‘travel’ around the world to connect with our creative friends. You will be amazed at the creativity of my amazing global friends. These ladies are all really special and are people I feel a real warm connection to, as well as admiration for the way they run their Stampin' Up! business.

Today's theme is Pleased as Punch. This was a tricky one for me, because I don't often have punches as the focal point of my cards (they tend to be more in the layers and for greetings). As you get to know me over the coming months (or if you already follow me on Instagram), you will know that flowers and plants make me happy. So the Vase Builder Punch was calling me. You will find the Vase Builder punch in the Stampin' Up! 2019 Annual Catalogue.

The vases were punched from one of the Daffodil Delight patterned sheets in the Best Dressed Designer Series paper from the Stampin' Up! 2020 January to June mini catalogue. I then went with the colours in another of my favourite sheets from that pack: Lovely Lipstick, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. This is a nice bright and happy colour palette for a birthday card. I've used my most used punch, the Banner Triple Punch, for the banner ends in my paper strips (you NEED this punch). The flowers are coloured with blends, and the greeting is from Label Me Bold stamp set. You can view  or purchase any of the products I have used today using the links at the end of my post.

Seatbelts on! I'm excited to now send you on your way around the world (or continue the journey from the lovely Michelle Last in the UK). It's time to head right up to Minnesota in the USA to visit my lovely friend Dawn Olfeschke.

Day 4 Poppy Party: Simple Peaceful Poppy DSP Card and Envelope

Hello friends. 

Back today with Day 4 of my Painted Poppy Bundle showcase. You can find the bundle in the 2020 Stampin' Up! January to June mini catalogue (see my sidebar). Today I have got a very simple card for you with just a tiny bit of stamping.

I LOVE this big bold sheet of poppy paper in the Peaceful Poppies DSP. It's quite difficult to use mixed with other elements, so I made it the star of the project. The base card  is one of the Magnolia Lane Large Speciality Memories and More Cards & Envelope. The silver border is already pre-printed on the card, so all I needed to do was cut a piece of DSP 7.8cm x 10.5cm and adhere. I then stamped some of the poppy images in Versamark in the top left and bottom right.

I embossed the greeting from the Saleabration Level 1 set Sending you Thoughts in silver onto one of the pre-embossed black banners in the Peaceful Poppies elements pack (this is included in my gift with purchase this week only). That's really all there is to the card. 

For the envelope, I traced the liner that comes with the card onto the DSP and cut it out to use as the new liner. I also stamped a few flowers in Versamark on the envelope.  Easy peasy and it would take you no time at all to create a set of these cards.
