Art With Heart Team Colour Creations Blog Hop: Terracotta Tile

Colour Creations 300

Hey there! This week the Colour Creations crew in the Art with Heart team are playing with Terracotta Tile, a new 2019-2021 InColour in the 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Terracotta Tile is a lovely colour, but not one I would find myself instinctively reaching for, so this week was a bit of a challenge to me.

Terracotta Tile

When I am challenged by a colour, I often reach for Designer Series Paper (DSP) that features that colour, and use that to guide me. In this case I have chosen the lovely Mosaic Mood DSP. This gave me the inspiration to combine with Garden Green. I then thought of flowers, and made a multi layered daisy combining the new Medium Daisy Punch with the existing Daisy Punch (LOVE how they layer).

I stamped the Daisy's in So Saffron first (the new Daisy Lane stamp set images that fit both the medium and large Daisy Punch). To give some more interest to my flower, I also spoged some Terracotta Tile ink close to the centre, and then added our GORGEOUS new flower centres. I love these so much. Finally I brushed Wink of Stella all over the petals (hard to see in the photos).

Here's a closer look at some of these yummy products. The Daisy Lane bundle is a new favourite of mine. If you buy either the stamp set or bundle from me (or the other participants in the team) before July 22nd, we will email you a FREE PDF document with 10 fabulous Daisy Lane projects. You can also follow all the links to projects at the end of my post.

The Daisy Lane Cling Bundle includes the stamp set and the Medium Daisy Punch.   You can purchase this bundle at 10% off here in my online store. It's a great price too.

Art With Heart Team Colour Creations Blog Hop: Pretty Peacock

Colour Creations 300

Jumping into the Colour Creations blog hop this week as we are into week 3 of the 2019 InColours. This week is Pretty Peacock, a beautiful teal blue that I am already totally in love with, as it is so versatile. Today I have teamed it with another new 2019 Incolour, Rococo Rose. I love the fresh vintage look of these colours together.

Free as a Bird and Pretty Peacock card from 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

We have lots of beautiful new InColour products besides just the ink and cardstock in the 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue (see all the Pretty Peacock ones in the link below). For this card I have used some of the 6x6 InColour paper stack. There are 40 sheets in the pack in total, with 4 sheets of 2 different double sided designs in each of the 5 new InColours. I particularly love the script pattern. I have also used our new Very Vanilla scalloped lace and some of the Rococo Rose scalloped linen ribbon (which I have cut into strips), and one of the Bird Ballad trinkets in the top left corner.

For the watercolouring of the Free as A Bird image, I have used Gray Granite and Rococo Rose for the birds, Old Olive and Rococo Rose for the leaves and flowers, and Gray Granite and Early Espresso for the branch. I have used a very light watercolour wash of Seaside Spray around the image for the sky.

Now it's time to jump over to Catherine Proctors blog, and see what the other Art With Heart team girls have done with Pretty Peacock this week.

Thanks for stopping by my blog tonight. I will be back in a day or two with some more inspiration for you.

Until then, have a happy and creative week.

4 New Features of the 2019 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

The bundles are all listed at the front of the Catalogue.

One of the things everyone LOVES about Stampin' Up! products, is the fabulous coordination. A great new catalogue feature this year, is that all the bundles (products which have a coordinating die set, or a coordinating punch), are listed with pictures at the front of the catalogue in a special bundles section, as well as through the catalogue as they were previously. All of these bundles are also 10% off which is a nice saving. You are also directed to the page in the catalogue which shows the products along with samples. I love this handy new feature!

You can also find the product bundles HERE in the online store.

The Suite pages now include one item number, for those who want to buy everything in the whole suite.

The new catalogue has 12 exciting product suites throughout the catalogue (see a summary of them HERE). As well as bundles or stamp sets, suites include coordinating Designer Series Paper, and other coordinating products which may include embellishments, ribbon/trim, embossing folders, journals. boxes or bags. Each suite has a double page spread in the catalogue (followed by additional pages) where all of the products are listed. The first item number listed will also be a single item number for the full product suite (which also includes the bundle at the discounted price). Very handy for those who love it all in a suite!

Designer Series Papers are shown BIGGER.

There are some seriously gorgeous Designer Series Papers in this catalogue! As well as being able to see them HERE, and in their normal section towards the back of the catalogue; you will also see some larger images within each suite section. This gives you an opportunity to really get a good look at the beautiful papers.

We also now have a Beginners Brochure / Experience Creativity Section (in paper / online store)

Sometimes the whole catalogue can be a bit overwhelming for completely new stampers, so this year we have also introduced a beginners brochure which includes a couple of catalogue items, but also some exclusive items which are perfectly suited to simple stamping for beginners.

Beginner brochure

You can also find these beginner projects in the Experience Creativity Section in the Online Store. If you are a beginner stamper and would like to get your hands on a beginner brochure, just contact me and I would be happy to send you one.

I hope this post has helped you understand and get the most out of this lovely new catalogue. Don't forget to contact me if you would like to get your own copy of the catalogue.

Be back soon with some new catalogue creations,

Claire

Stampin' Up! To a Wild Rose Stamp Set 3 ways

Hello crafty friends.

I'm super excited that the new 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue goes live at 8am AEST (Melbourne time) tomorrow!

One of the new stamp sets that took my fancy, was the To a Wild Rose stamp set. This is a super versatile stamp set, and I even used the greeting on a scrapbook page. It's a 2 or 3 step stamp, and here I have used all three layers: an outline layer in Early Espresso, the base flower in Rococo Rose (stamped off once), and the final highlights layer in Rococo Rose.  I have used Mossy Meadow for the leaves. The base card here is one of the Magnolia Lane Large Memories and More cards which come in a set of 20 with matching envelopes.

I have used the Birch background stamp on one of the new Nested Label Dies (this is a great new shape to add interest to cards). I love that we have some brass embellishments back (top left corner) - these are the Bird Ballad embellishments and there are a few different designs in the pack. I have also used some of the beautiful scalloped linen ribbon which comes in all the five new in colours.

This next card is much simpler, as I have used just 2 layers for the stamp (and also the centre part of the flower). The base flower is Rococo Rose stamped off once, and the highlight layer is Melon Mambo. I used Early Espresso for the flower centre, and Old Olive for the leaves on this one. I stamped my greeting in Early Espresso and have just added 3 metallic pearls to finish this one off.

Finally I have a scrapbook page for you where I have used the To a Wild Rose stamp set for the title.

I have also used some of the bits and pieces from the beautiful Hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin kit (now sold out), and some new Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.

I hope you have enjoyed tonight's projects. Pop back tomorrow for the links etc for the new catalogue. Until then, stay happy :)

My projects feature a beautiful new Designer Paper called Mosaic Mood. This paper pack didn't immediately jump out at me in the catalogue, but then we received a pack as an all attendee give away on the last day of Onstage. Once opening the pack, the beautiful colours jumped right out at me, as did the clear embossed parts which add beautiful texture and interest. It's a really pretty 12 x 12 paper pack.

I have used the paper to make two cards for some friends that needed a virtual hug recently. There are lots of beautiful floral mosaic images to cut from the paper, and I used those as the feature of my cards.

For some added interest on this first card, I embossed one of the layers with the Subtle embossing folder, which gives a beautiful textured but subtle effect. I also did some very light stamping on the base card (the leaf image is from Healing Hugs stamp set). My greeting on this card is from a set carrying over into the new 2019 Annual Catalogue, called Flourishing Phrases. The inside sentiment says 'with warmth and caring from me'. The greeting on the front of the card fit's nicely in one of the stitched circles from the Stitched Shapes die set. This is one of my most used die sets because it has ovals, squares and circles in the one pack.

As you can see, there's a range of beautiful colours in this paper. The catalogue tells me that the coordinating colours are: Blushing Bride. Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Mint Macaron, Soft Suede, Terracotta Tile, Very Vanilla and Whisper White. I adapted that a little and used the following colours to give my cards a soft pastel look:

Claire's Stampin' Up! Colour Combination: Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Soft Sea Foam, So SaffronI haven't used So Saffron in what feels like forever, but I think it works really well with this new Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper. The greeting I have used on this card is from Healing Hugs, another set carrying over to the 2019 Annual Catalogue.

I've used the Stitched Rectangle Dies, and the Stitched Labels dies for the layers of my greeting. I do like my stitched dies, and any interesting shapes I can use for stamping greetings or layering. This large stitched label is one of my favourite dies.
