DIY Tealight Candle Gift Box Template and Tutorial using Stampin Up papercraft supplies

Hello friends. Today I am sharing a project I made earlier in the year, but realised I hadn't shared with you. It's a DIY / handmade gift box for tea light candles. I have both the template and a step by step tutorial for you to download for free.

I have incoporated a window into the top of the box and it has a decorative belly band that slips over the box. You can adjust the length if you want less tea lights, and can adjust the height based on the height of the candles too.

I made this one before the papers changed over in the Annual Catalogue, but I have updated the tutorial to link to alternative papers, trims, and a great punch to make your own tags.

New Stampin' Up! 2020 In Colours: Introducing Cinnamon Cider

Hello there papercrafters. Today we are looking at the second (alphabetically) new Stampin' Up! 2020 In Colour, and it's Cinnamon Cider.

Cinnamon Cider has more of an orange undertone to our other neutral colours, and tones well with warm colours and Early Espresso.

Even though the colour has cider in the name, we are entering winter here in Australia and we have had several sub zero morning temperatures here where I live. So for me, this colour makes me think of warm cinnamon cocoa and being cosy if front of a warm fire. Both of those things make me feel happy and comforted right now, so I have a real emotional connection to this colour.

At first I struggled to create with this colour, then in the end this colour was the one I made the most cards with. I will just show you one basic card today, but I have some great samples to share in the coming weeks.

Today's card is a basic masculine birthday card featuring one of the Cinnamon Cider 6x6" paper stack designs (we have 4 new designs this year which are gorgeous to create with.

I have layered the Stitched So Sweetly dies in Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. You can also add a small mat of a contrasting colour in between (the perfect size to cut this rectangle is 6.5 x 3.5cm) which I have done with Seaside Spray. The word 'Happy' in my gretting is one of the cardstock stickers which come in the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More Card Pack. It is in Misty Moonlight (another of the new In Colours, but as you will see later in the week, this tones really well with Seaside Spray. The word birthday is from the Well Said stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso. A couple of the gold Gilded Gem embellishments finish this card off nicely.

Here are some other Cinnamon Cider colour combinations suggested by Stampin' Up! I have another few colur combinations I can't wait to try too. This colour really inspires me right now.

Faux patina stamping technique using Stampin' Up! Parisian Flourish embossing folder

Hello crafters.

A few weeks ago I made a card front faux patina piece for one of my subscriber only Make it With Claire free weekly tutorials (if you missed this one and would like it, there's instructions at the end of the catalogue how to get it).

I had half the panel piece left over, so I made another card using some bits and pieces from the Ornate Border Dies (a pre-release product on sale now from the 2020/21 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue), the Stitched Label Dies and the Parisian Dies.

The faux patina technique is so great for vintage style cards, so the greeting from Woven Heirlooms stamp set was perfect to use on the Stitched Label. The copper rose border piece was cut from the new Ornate Border Dies (new product available now!), and I also cut the edge on the pretty peacock piece using those dies.

Paper Piecing technique with Stampin' Up! Beautiful Moments stamp set

Hello stampers,

Today I am showing you some cards I made for one of my free weekly PDF tutorials, It's a simple Paper Piecing technique using the Beautiful Moments stamp set.

The beautiful moments stamp set if perfect for the paper piecing technique as our floral papers (these ones are from Best Dressed) look fabulous as dressed. I have also added a bit of colouring to the hair using a Crumb Cake ink pad and Blender Pen.

For the greeting I have used the Itty Bitty stamp set. I love this stamp set because there are a whole heap of greetings which all fit in the Classic Label punch. I know if ever I need a small greeting, I will usually find it in this stamp set.

Easy Easter Basket from One Sheet of Cardstock - Free Template & Tutorial

Hello crafty people.

Today I have a free template and tutorial for you to download to make this handmade easter basket from one sheet of cardstock. It's a great Easter craft for adults and children.

You can use an embossing folder gave a great texture to the basket sides. The one I have used here has now retired but there are lots of great embossing folders in my Stampin Up online store.

They are a perfect size to fill with mini Easter eggs. I love the griege colour of the basket. It's one of my favourite Stampin' Up! cardstock colours, Gray Granite.
