Art With Heart Team August Blog Hop - It's Christmas Creating Time!

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative Christmas projects, many featuring products from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue which starts on the 4th of September. If you would like a copy of the 2019 - 2020 Annual catalogue or the new Holiday catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

I've had sick kids all week and also unwell myself for a couple of days, so I have only been able to put together one card for you today. As soon as I saw this paper in the Night Before Christmas paper pack in the 2019 Holiday Catalogue, I knew it would be perfect for a Santa and sleigh scene. Luckily we have just the die in the new Holiday Catalogue. It's part of the Jolly Seasons die pack on page 25.

I have also used the Merry Christmas dies and the Merry Christmas to All stamp set (both now in the Annual Catalogue). The die cut pieces are cut from Silver glimmer paper and I have used some contrasting DSP in the Night Before Christmas paper pack to balance the card. I also added a Mossy Meadow bow, using the linen thread in the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack . 

This was a pretty quick card to make, and I really like how it turned out. I will be using this die set lots more. I'm really beginning to warm to the retro patterns and colours in the Night Before Christmas DSP.

Heart of Christmas Week 2 - Sharing the Joy of Christmas Creativity.

Excited to be back with you for week 2 of the Art With Heart Stampin' Up!' team's Heart of Christmas. We love sharing the joy of Christmas Creativity.

This week's card is all about copper! Our new Brightly Gleaming Suite in the 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue (starting September 4th - have you got your copy?) has a beautiful copper foil theme, which will add real WOW to your Christmas projects.

This suite contains a stamp set and a punch pack duo for 2 sizes of ornaments. In addition to the copper foil accented Designer Series Paper, there are also some gorgeous embellishments in this suite. A ribbon with copper foil writing, some foil elements and the cute copper Star Designer Elements I have used on this card. This catalogue also introduces the Delicata metallic ink pads to our range.  These ink pads give a fabulous lustre stamped finish. They take a little longer to dry (10 minutes air dry and you are done) and it's recommended not to heat dry as it can reduce the lustre. I have used Celestial Copper Delicata ink pad for my greeting (which is from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set in this suite). It's very hard to capture the gorgeous lustre in a photo.

The Art With Heart Team Heart of Christmas 2019 Blog Hop is here!

The Art with Heart team girls are back for our third year of weekly Heart of Christmas blog hops. In these blog hops we hope to inspire you to experience and share the joy of creativity in the lead up to Christmas. Each week I will post a Christmas project on Wednesday night at 8pm, and other members of the team will do the same. Their names and links to their blog will appear below. 

My card this week uses Toile Christmas, a new stamp set in the 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue. Even though we don't have Cardinals, I really love this set. The sentiments particularly, but the imagery with the bird, branch with berries and the swirls is gorgeous too. It's available as a cling mount stamp set, or as a bundle. 

There are lots of great coodinating products for this bundle in the Toile Tidings product suite. In this card, I have used the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper and the coordinating Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots (one of my favourite products in the Holiday Catalogue!). the layer of vellum over the patterned paper really helps to soften the layer for the other elements.

The primary colours in the Toile Tidings Product Suite are Real Red and Garden Green, so here is my Christmas colour combination for today. I watercoloured the Cardinal with ink from the inside lid of my Real Red ink pad. Have you tried our Fluid 100 Watercolour paper yet? It's 100% cotton and AWESOME to work with.
