Colour Creations 300

Welcome back to another Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. Today we are playing with Poppy Parade, one of the past In-colours that was reintroduced as a core colour last June, due to its popularity. Poppy parade is a lovely bright red, lending itself to happy bright colour combinations.

Poppy Parade

I struggled a bit with my card for this challenge, as Poppy Parade isn't a colour I normally make the star of a card. In the end, I found a combination I liked, by combining just one other colour (Granny Apple Green) with Basic Black and Whisper White.

This black and white gingham piece from the Botanical Butterfly DSP is really getting a workout. I love the whole DSP pack actually. Will be sad when Saleabration is over at the end of March and it's no longer available to earn. I have also used the Painted Seasons Saleabration Bundle (Level 2) here, and a couple of my favourite Framelit sets: Stitched Labels and Stitched Shapes.

Here's the Poppy Parade colour combination I used in case you want to save it.

Once I had finished the main card, I loved the colour combination so much that I made some extra more simple cards. I love having 'Hello' cards on hand as I find these are great to send with customer and team gifts.

Love your colour combination. Yes, it will be sad when the Sale-A-Bration items end, but exciting for what comes next. I love the clean look of your second card - it looks super smart :)

Oh, Claire, this is a lovely colour combination and I do love your hello cards as well. You've inspired me to use my black and white gingham DSP. Thank you for hopping along tonight!

What a fabulous colour combo! Your cards are spectacular. The bold colours looks great against the gingham, but equally as beautiful on top of the plain white. Love them!

Great card and great colour scheme Claire. I will be casing both.

So love the colour scheme's and designs of your cards, love the vibrancy you have created. Just stunning

I'm loving the black and white gingham too, Claire, and both your cards have come up a treat!

Fantastic cards, Claire, love the colour combination. How good is Granny Apple Green?!!! Those Stitched Label framelits look awesome with the Painted Season bundle.

Lovely card Claire, I think the painted season is such a lovely set. Your colour combo works really well.
