Art With Heart Stampin' Up! Team PINK October Blog Hop

Think pink

Yeah, it's Art With Heart team monthly blog hop time. This month, our lovely team member who organises the blog hop, Ros Davidson, has chosen all things PINK as our theme. This is a great theme for spring, and also breast cancer awareness month. We hope our blog hop inspires you to get creative with the various shades of pink that Stampin’ Up! offer in our collection of 53 different colours available.

I hope chosen pink and pretty for my card tonight.

Stampin Up Petal Promenade DSP, Fourish Thinlits, stiched shapes framelits, stitched labels framelits, Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. 2018 birthday card by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator, Melbourne Australia.

The pink I have chosen is POWDER PINK, which is one of the 2016-2018 In Colours. It's a lovely soft pink which although it isn't listed as a coordinating colour (two other pinks are though),coordinates beautifully with the soft colours in the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper Pack. This paper is so beautiful and feminine. I have also used some Soft Sea Foam and Smoky Slate in there. The Framelits I have used in all of the layering are: Stitched Labels, Stitched Shapes and and the Flourish Thilits. My greeting is from Happy Birthday, Gorgeous stamp set.

Week 18 AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop - Fresh Fig

  Colour Creations 300

Fresh Fig color

Welcome to week 18 of Colour Creations from the Art with Heart Team. This week's colour is one of the 2017 Incolours, Fresh Frig. It's a beautiful deep colour which I love! It's actually quite similar to the colour of my bridesmaid dresses many years ago. Today I have used it with Soft Sea Foam, Powdered Pink and Bermuda Bay.

Stampin Up Beautiful Baubles from 2018 Holiday Catalogue, coloured with Stampin Blends. Card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

I love colouring this bauble. We don't have Fresh Fig or Powdered Pink Stampin' Blends, so I used light Blackberry Bliss and light Flirty Flamingo respectively. I have added some texture after the colouring, by running it through the Subtle embossing folder in the BigShot. The other embossing folder used on the Powder Pink layer is Tufted, which was a new one in this years Annual Catalogue. I have already used it so much!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Claire

Stampin' Up! Time for Tea

There's something about a cup of tea isn't there? I think it makes me instantly thing of relaxing, soothing and happy catch ups. I think it's because of this association that I always tend to be drawn to any creative supplies with a tea theme too.

Here's a card I created using the Time for Tea bundle in the 2018/2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

Week 14 AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop - Crushed Curry

Colour Creations 300

Crushed Curry

I thought this week was going to be a big challenge for me, but in the end I came up with two cards!

My first card came to me relatively easy, as I had a sponged piece left over from the swap cards I made for the Alaska Stampin' Up! trip. I had used Crushed Curry along with Flirty Flamingo and Rich Razzleberry in the sponged piece, so I cut that down and mounted it onto a card front sized piece of Berry Burst cardstock.

Stampin Up Celebrate Thinlits and Very Vintage stamp set 2018 Annual Catalogue card. Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

The stamp set I used was Very Vintage (in the Stampin' Reward section of the Annual Catalogue). I stamped this in Berry Burst around the image and then sponged the edges with Rich Razzleberry. I mounted it onto a Rich Razzleberry card, and used Fresh Fig ribbon and twine to embellish, along with some clear Rhinestones which I had coloured with my Stampin' Blends (I used dark Lovely Lipstick and Dark Rich Razzleberry). My greeting is die cut from the Celebrate You thinlits, in Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry. Here's my colour combination for this card, and a close up.

I was going to leave it at that, but then I was wandering through IKEA on Saturday, and came across this rug with a colour combination that really caught my eye, so I thought I would try and recreate a similar combination in a card.

Here's what I came up with, but I also added in some Mint Macaron.

Stampin Up Stitched Labels, Petals and More and Eclectic Layers thinlits 2018 Annual Catalogue card. Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

I've used lots of different Framelit sets and was definitely inspired by cards I have seen recently by Connie Collins and Vicky Boucher. Thanks for the inspiration ladies (oh and IKEA). Here's my colour combination and a closer look at the layers.

I am really enjoying these Colour Creations colour challenges that the Art With Heart Team girls are participating in each week. We are having lots of team fun, and definitely being pushed right out of our comfort zone. So lucky to have team members who love to have fun creating and sharing with each other.  Now it's time to head back over to the blog of Catherine Proctor, our wonderful blog hop coordinator for Colour Creations, to see the other ladies who are participating this week.

Chat again tomorrow when our wonderful Christmas catalogue goes live!

Week 13 AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop - Crumb Cake

Crumb Cake

Crumb cake 2

Today's card is one of the hard cards we need to make, a sympathy card. Words really are never enough, but they are important to say to the people you care about. I don't think there is any better way to say those words from afar, than with a handmade card.

Stampin Up Rooted in Nature 2018 sympathy card. Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

I have used the Rooted in Nature stamp set from the 2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.  I created a water wash onto Shimmery White cardstock with a few drops of re-inker and my aquapainter. I used Crumb Cake for the ground, and Pool Party for the sky and Shaded Spruce for the tree. I added a few ink splatters and water splatters for added interest.

The sentiment is also from the Rooted in Nature stamp set, and is stamped in Soft Suede to stand out a little more against the Crumb Cake. Here is my colour combination.

I hope the recipient of this card can feel the love and caring thoughts for them that it hopefully conveys.

Now it's time to head back to Catherine Proctor's blog  to see what the other Art With Heart team ladies have been creating with Crumb Cake this week.

Thanks for stopping by today,

Claire
