Week 26 AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop - Lovely Lipstick

This week the Colour Creations girls on the Art With Heart team are playing with Lovely Lipstick. This is such a bright happy colour, and one of our 2018-20 InColours. I ha lots of fun playing with this colour this week, and I have 3 projects for you.

My first project is a 12x12" scrapbook page of the leaders in my team at our Centre Stage leaders dinner and training a couple of weeks ago. The big 30 was actually part of our table decoration and the lovely postcard at the top came from the hotel I was staying at. I love incorporating memorabilia like this into my pages. I have incorporated Lovely Lipstick, by using several of the 'coming soon' Happiness Blooms Memories & More cards, which will be available in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue. I love the bright colours and bold patterns in this card set and it's bright colour combination.

 

My second project again features cards from the Happiness Blooms Memories and More card pack, as well as the coordinating cards and envelopes (also coming in the Occasions Catalogue). I just cut three strips from two different cards (each strip was 10cm x 5cm) and arranged them on the card front. You can't see it in the photo, but the top and bottom panel are from one of the specialty cards so it has subtle texture as well. My greeting was from Butterfly Gala, a new stamp set coming soon. I embossed it in white onto Night of Navy cardstock, and cut it out with the Lovely Label punch.

My final project, is a 6x8 pocket scrapbooking page. I used the Happiness Blooms Memories and More card pack here too. This was such a happy moment from Convention. Jennifer Frost (left) and Rochelle Blok (right) are talented stampers and both such lovely kind and giving people. I had chatted to Rochelle a little in the past, as we have a mutual friend. Jennifer and I often comment on each others work on Instagram and I really admire her giving nature (and her amazing talent). Believe it or not I am little shy when it comes to meeting new people, but Jennifer came and found me at OnStage and it turns out she was feeling the same. Such a lovely moment which needed a story and a page!

Oh Claire, I haven't done a memory keeping page in so long I have got to get my photos out and get to it. Thanks for sharing your projects they are great and prompting me to get mine out and do it too. Maybe while I'm watching the cricket after Christmas. Love the card too!
