Week 17 AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop - Flirty Flamingo
September 25, 2018
Hello and welcome to our weekly play with colour! Today, the lovely Catherine has got the Art With Heart team girls playing with Flirty Flamingo.
Here is my card for today, a lovely soft combination of Flirty Flamingo and Smoky Slate.
I did two layers on my watercolour wash, with a slightly darker strength in the second wash which I only did close to the image. After the wash dried, I also flicked a bit of water to add some more interest. I have used some of the beautiful Frosted Floral Specialty Paper from the holiday catalogue as mu backing DSP (this piece is particularly beautiful!), and one of the Chicken Wire elements which adds some more country feel and texture to the card.
I hope you have enjoyed my card today. There are links to the other Flirty Flamingo colour ideas from the Art with Heart team, over on my lovely team member Catherine Proctor's blog. Catherine is our team member who came up with and is coordinating this project for the team this year. I'm so lucky to have so many great team members who pitch in and run things which everyone can enjoy in our team.
Have a great week, and I will see you back here next week with Fresh Fig!

Wow, Claire, I love the look of your watercolour wash on this card. It really showcases Flirty Flamingo against the white and the Smoky Slate. And your bow of twine just finishes it off perfectly. Thanks for hopping along tonight!
