Week 15 AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop - Daffodil Delight
September 11, 2018
Hey there, it's time for some more Art With Heart Stampin' Up! Team Colour Creations inspiration. This week we are playing with another yellow, Daffodil Delight. I am totally in love with a couple of the country themed products in the 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue. The Country Home stamp set is a lovely set to colour, and the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder has been flying off the shelves.
I have used the following Stampin' Blends to colour the image:
- Smoky Slate combo
- Crumb Cake Combo
- Old Olve Combo
- Daffodil Delight Combo
- Lovely Lipstick Combo
After I embossed the Smoky Slate cardstock with the Tin Tile embossing folder, I rubbed some Smoky Slate ink over the top with a Stampin' Sponge. The little scalloped piece I have used at the join of the Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate cardstock, is a piece from the Laser Cur specialty paper which I sponged Basic Grey ink onto using a sponge dauber.
Here's my colour combination for today:
My greeting is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set. I seem to use that a lot! This photo shows the subtle embossing I have done on the Daffodil Delight piece as well, This was using the very approriately named Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder, which gives a lovely textured look. This is great when you want to dress up a piece of cardstock, just a little bit.
Here's a look at the beautiful Country Home stamp set. It's photopolymer, so super easy to line up the flowers and the jugs.
If you would like to see some more Daffodil Delight colour combinations, head over to Catherine Proctor's blog as she has the links to all the others participating this week.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day,
Claire

Love the combination of the two embossing folders Claire, they work so well together. Melon Mambo looks great with Daffodil Delight and the grey's - great design too!

Lovely colouring in of the country home image. The card is very warm and inviting and with a different sentiment would work for various occasions.
