Stampin' Up! fancy fold Share What You Love suite card

Hello crafters. Happy Monday!

Today I have a fancy fold card for you. I was inspired to make this card when I saw a lovely sample my team member Ros Davidson shared on our team forum.

When the belly band comes off, the card opens to an area you can write your greeting. 

The Share What You Love Designer Series Paper is perfect for this fancy fold, because it is cardstock weight. It also has beautiful patterns and lots of coordinating colours which makes it super versatile. The actual fold is super simple. Here is what I did:

1. I started with a piece of DSP 12" x 6"
2. I scored at 2", 4", 8" and 10" on the long side.
3. I marked a spot with a pencil at the halfway mark of the shortest side (3")
4. I cut on the diagonal from that spot on the left hand edge, to the top of the 4" score line, and from the top of the 8" score line to the half way spot on the right hand edge.
5. Then just fold as shown. So easy!

 

I love the matching embellishments in the suite as well, because this makes getting a coordinated finish really easy.

Quick and simple cards with Big Plans Memories and More Card Pack

Want some quick and easy ideas for cards? Today's cards literally took me 15-20 minutes from start to finish for all 3 cards!

The Big Plans card pack was one of the things which really caught my eye at the Demonstrator launch of the 2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue in Sydney in April. I think it was a combination of the colour combination and the cute design. Most people think these are just for pocket scrapbooking, but WOW do we have a surprise for you!

Our Memories and More packs have had a makeover, and with the cardstock weight stickers now included, they are as equally suited to card making as they are to memory keeping. I tend to mix it up and do both. This card kit also coordinates with our Big Plans Planner Kit. The colours are Calypso Coral, Gray Granite, Pineapple Punch and Whisper White.

Here's a closer look at the BIG PLANS Memories and More card pack. The four sheets in the upper right hand corner are cardstock weight stickers.

The other very cool thing, is that this year we have also introduced note cards and envelope packs in 2 sizes which are PERFECTLY sized to use with these cards (which makes them super quick and easy to create cards with). As you can see in the cards below, just add a card to the card base, and you have a perfect fit with a slight mat around the outside.

For this card, I have used one of the 6x4" cards for the first layer, and then cut 2 pieces from smaller cards for the other layers (the greeting was already printed on the card). Then I just added some rhinestone jewels and silver and white bakers twine (all the products I have used are available in my online store and are linked to at the end of my post). See how perfectly the cards fit the new Memories and More note cards and envelopes (this is the large pack).

For my second card, I have just used one 6x4" card onto one of the base cards, and used a greeting and washi stickers from the sticker sheets. All I needed to add was some rhinestone jewels.

For my final card, I have just used one of the 6x4" quote cards and added that to a base card. All I needed to finish this card was some of the cardstock weight stickers and rhinestone jewels.

You will definitely want to grab one of the new Memories and More packs and a pack of the coordinating note cards and envelopes for some super quick and easy card supplies to have on hand.

Lindt Chocolate Block Stampin' Up! thank you gift boxes

I mentioned in my last post I would show you the little thank you gifts I made for my team members who helped out with the May Stampin' Up! team day. These were little boxes where when you pulled the ribbon, a block of Lindt Chocolate popped out. 

I made two different designs using the Share What You Love product bundle which was available in May. This design was in Fresh Fig.

These ones were in Old Olive.

These boxes are super simple to customise to any chocolate block size. You just adjust the sides and length. For the pull put mechanism, you just punch a whole in the front and back, wrap the ribbon lengthways around the chocolate block before you slide it into the box, and then thread the ends outwards through the punched holes and tie at the top. This picture shows that bit a bit better.

A look back at our Art With Heart Stampin' Up! Team Demonstrator Training / Creating Day

It's been a few weeks since the training and creative day I put on for our Stampin' Up! Art With Heart Team girls in Melbourne, Australia. Time to have a look back at some of the fun of the day. 

It was so great to have a whole Saturday (we went from 9.30am to 4.00pm) in the Melbourne CBD to meet up and connect in person. We have an amazing team forum and virtual support, but nothing beats spending tome in person together. I LOVE spending time with these amazing ladies.

We had 5 presentations during the day on practical ideas team members could use in their business to continue to build. We have some great leaders with lots of experience in our team so we were able to cover lots of great topics. We also had Clare Langsford, one of our Australian South Pacific Demonstrator Support Managers attend on the day and do a fabulous presentation for us.

The majority of the day was about being creative though!

Everyone that came along got to make three make and take projects. I had two team members work hard to put these together or the day.

We also had a demonstration session, where four of our clever team members demonstrated some innovative ways to use our products.

 

Everyone bought along things they had been making for the creative display and there was lots of chatting going on about the awesome projects. We all agreed we need much more space for the display projects next time as there were just so many to show.

 
Add in prize patrols throughout the day (everyone took home a prize), some fun selfie frame pics, some delicious morning tea and a chance to wander around the laneways of Melbourne to have some lunch, and all in all it was a really great day.  A big shout out as well to my tech savvy son who came along as the helper / tech guy on the day and was a HUGE help.
