Art with Heart Team Stampin Up Heart of Christmas 2017: Week 10

Yeah, we are into double figures with the Stampin' Up! Heart of Christmas for 2017, bought to you by the Art with Heart Stampin' Up! team. Welcome to week 10 - how exciting!

I've had a pretty overwhelming week that past week (in fact it actually started right when last week's post went live), with a very close friend having a really difficult time and spending some time in hospital. It's so difficult when people you love are sick isn't it, much more so of course for her and her family and that's hard to watch too? I found myself a bit dazed and not quite with it for much of the week, so today's card is a very quick card which luckily I had made earlier last week. Sometimes the simple cards are the best so I hope you like it.

Carols of Christmas 1

I've used the new Carols of Christmas bundle which is in my last post (in fact this is one of the cards). I really like the big bold sentiments in this stamp set. Being red rubber, they are perfect to use Stampin' Write Markers with to get multi-coloured greetings (I have used Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler).  This bold striped Cherry Cobbler paper is from the Be Merry Designer Series Paper (in the annual catalogue).

The Art with Heart girls will have been much more on the ball than me this week so pop on over to their blog for some more Christmas inspiration.

Love your card Claire. I love the idea of multi-colouring the greeting, it looks great! And that diagonal design on the DSP has really lifted the focal image even more. The gold sequin trim looks lovely and ties in nicely with baubles. :)

Claire I love how the size of these sentiments make for quick and easy cards that look striking, and this card of yours is simply gorgous!

Like Catherine, I love how the beautiful big sentiments in this set become the feature of the card. Lovely design, Claire.

Beautiful card, Claire. The candy striped background is perfect with the bold greeting. Love the touch of bling too.

Beautiful card Claire, the bold sentiment of this stamp set just works perfectly on this card with the bold stripes of the paper! A Lovely design with a nice touch of bling.

Love the multicoloured greeting and the baubles are perfectly placed! Beautiful card, Claire.

Gorgeous card Claire, love the striped background sets of the sentiment just right, this is a gorgeous stamp set. The mini gold sequins look great in the background. xx

Your card is fabulous, Claire. It's great to see some truly quick and easy cards, as so many of us leave our card making until the last minute and need inspiration for these cards. I hope your friend is feeling better now x
