Art with Heart Team Stampin Up Heart of Christmas 2017: Week 7
July 12, 2017
It's time for another Heart of Christmas 2017 inspiration posts from the Art with Heart Stampin' Up! team. We are already up to week 7 of 27. I am currently in Thailand on the Stampin' Up! Incentive trip, where we will be getting our first peek of the 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue, which is very exciting. Soon I will have a bunch of brand new Christmas products to show you.
In the meantime, I'm having lots of fun playing with the Christmas items in the 2017 Annual Catalogue. Today I have used the At Home with You stamp set. I had so much fun giving this card a vintage look, and playing with the new Boxwood Wreath embellishments.
Love how my background turned out. I think it looks like old weathered bricks. Here's what I did to achieve this look:
- I started with the brick mask in the Party Pattern Decorative Masks and a piece of Whisper White cardstock.
- For the mixture I used 2 drops of Sahara Sand ink in about 1 teaspoon of paste. I deliberately didn't go all the edges as I wanted a distressed look .
- Once the embossing past was dry, I used a sponge and sponged over the embossing paste and the cardstock.
To add a bit more interest, I stamped the wreath from At Home with You underneath my greeting. The greeting is from Merry Mistletoe and is stamped in Fresh Fig, to match the base card layer and ribbon. This greeting is the fit for the new Pretty Label punch.
How cute are these little Boxwood Wreaths? They add such great texture. These would need to be delivered by hand or in a parcel though as they are quite bulky. Love them so much though!
Now it's time to see what the Art with Heart girls have been up to this week. I've only been able to link to a few of the team this week (there are more participating) as I scheduled my post before I left for Thailand and struggled to update due to wifi issues. Look for our Heart of Christmas logo on social media though! Back to normal programming next week!
Thanks for stopping by today,
Claire
