Art With Heart Team Blog Hop: It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas
November 24, 2016
Today some of my fabulous Art with Heart Stampin’ Up! team girls have created some amazing Christmas projects to inspire you with the theme, It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We have tags, gift bags, teacher gift ideas, decorations and many more fun projects to create this holiday season.
I chose some gift wrapping options as my projects for this blog hop. First up I have some cute gift tags I made using the 2" x 2" cards in Project Life Hello December Accessory Kit (on special, along with the matching card kit until 11.50pm AEST Monday November 28th this week for 30% off). I love the colours in these and can't wait to see how great they looked on my Christmas gifts under the tree. To make these, I just cut pieces of cardstock 6cm x 12cm and scored in the centre. Easy peasy!
The stars and the tree embellishments are included in the accessory pack. I just coloured the tree with a Bronze Sharpie for some added interest (bit obsessed with the copper look this year).
Next up I have a small quick and easy gift idea which fits 3 Lindt chocolate balls in perfectly. These little Christmas favors would be great for the Christmas table, co-workers, social group members and more. You can buy the clear boxes in packs of 16 for just $13.25 (Item 141699 Clear Tiny Treat Boxes) so they are very economical. I just cut three pieces of DSP 9.5cm x 4.5cm and scored in half and placed in the base and up the side on 3 sides (leaving the front side open). I then just attached a belly band of coordinating DSP and made a bow using the Bow Builder Punch.
My final project is a decorated gift box (I recycled one of the boxes I received charms in at OnStage). I love Poinsettias. They remind me of my grandmother. The Festive Flower punch (10% off in this week's Online Extravaganza sale) has all the bits for this flower (and there's a video showing you how to use it on the Stampin' Up! You Tube channel). If you want to stamp the leaf and flower veins, the Reason for the Season stamp set is the coordinating set.
Now it's time to check out some more festive creations. Next on the list is Mary Kelly. Enjoy!

Ooooh, what a great idea for using the little PL cards. I always struggle to use them on my pages, but tags are perfect!

Wow, gorgeous projects, Claire. I'm always amazed what you can do with the PL kits and the tags are so cute. Your poinsettia gift box is stunning and the burlap, lace and linen thread are the perfect finishing touch.
