You're So Lovely Kit and Stamp Set from Stampin Up 2016 Occasions Catalogue.
March 04, 2016
Over the last few weeks, I've been having a play with one of the kits in the Stampin' Up! 2016 Occasions Catalogue, called You're So Lovely. Gold foil is so on trend right now, and this kit is a base kit you can play with to create some looks of your choice.
Let me show you some of the things I have made with this kits so far, and then I'll explain more about why I love the kit. I made a whole bunch of Congrats cards to send for some recent team achievements.
For these ones I added a few extra embellishments: some of the gold Metallic glitter tape which is one of the Saleabration choices, some gold buttone and some twine/linen thread. The butterfly die cut are included in the kit, along with the sponge brayer to colour them any colour you like.
Here's a closer look at the products. First up there is the kit which contains enough supplies to make 12 cards (with envelopes) and 12 gift bags. I'll be showing the gift bags in a later post, as soon as I get the chocolate eggs to fill them (temporarily pop in there for the few minutes while I take the photo and then eat them :) - love my job!).
Herein lies why I LOVE this kit - you get to play LOTS with ink and can customise things a lot, as well as have products left over at the end to use on other cards.
- See those clear sheets? They are masks, and you can either use the negative or positive bits to place on your card and sponge over to create some cool effects.
- There's also the sponge brayer (which comes with two head pieces you can interchange and also wash in running water after use. This allows to you achieve both a soft look (like on the first few cards) or a more saturated look (like on the butterfly cards). It's all about PLAY!
- There are also some cute die cuts to play with including label in kraft or black which match the stamp set perfectly.
- Adhesive gold tars and brads add extra embellishments to your cards.
You also get instructions and full colour pictures of what you could create.
.
There is also a matching stamp set. While I have used this on my projects, you could honestly still have heaps of fun with the kit without it. I'm all for matchy matchy though!
I do hope you get a chance to have a play with this fabulous kit. You wont be disappointed I promise!
