My Three Favourite Stampin' Up! Sentiment / Greeting Stamp Sets

Loving the new metallic doileys we have to play with in this years Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. They are a great simple way to add a bit extra wow to a project. In today's card, I have used them with the Stampin' Up! Butterfly Framelits.

Butterfly Basics

Everyone needs a couple of good versatile greeting sets. A Dozen Thoughts, the Stampin' Up! greeting / sentiment set I have used today is a great versatile set. Check the links at the end of the post to link straight to this product in the my online store.

A Dozen Thoughts

My other two favourite Stampin' Up! sentiment sets have a mix of greetings as well. All of these sets have a mix of fonts  which I also like.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blossoms for SB110

Today's card for Stamping and Blogging Design Team (SB110) features Birthday Blossoms, a fabulous new set in the 2015 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. It has some great sentiments and some lovely images for water-colouring (one of my favourite things to do) so I think it's a really versatile set. If you know me well, you will also know I love to garden so I'm always a sucker for realistic floral sets.

My water-colouring style is pretty messy, but I like it that way. I have always leaned towards a more grungy look on my cards (or at least that's my excuse!) so you wont find any perfect blending. I use both Aqua-painters (which I have used on this card) and Blender Pens, depending on the project.

Here's what I did to complete this card (you can link to all the Stampin' Up! products I have used in the bottom of the post):

  • I've embossed the spray of flowers in clear onto the background Elegant Eggplant cardstock.
  • There's a thin layer of Sahara Sand cardstock behind the greeting panel.
  • The spray of flowers on the greeting panel is stamped in Sahara Sand (stamped off once).
  • My greeting is stamped in Tip Top Taupe.
  • The flowers are water-coloured (using Aqua-painters) in Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant, with Hello Honey in the centre.
  • The leaves are water-coloured in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.
  • I have tied crochet trim and linen thread around the base of the greeting panel.

Here's a closer look at the Birthday Blossoms stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Timeless Elegance and One Big Meaning for SB108

Hello friends.

Today I get to share one of my favourite products from the new 2015 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue with you, this beautiful 12x12 paper pack called Timeless Elegance. Oh my goodness, how beautiful is it? Reminds me of an old English cottage somewhere sunny and peaceful. I just wanted to use it on a card straight out of the pack as there were so many beautiful designs on the pages. I think I managed to use 4 different sheets here. Today's card is for the Stamping and Blogging Design Team weekly sketch, SB108. Don't forget you can play along with the sketch now too and link your image (more details at the end of the post).

The coordinating colours given for this 12x12 double sided paper pack (there's 12 sheets, 2 each of 6 designs) are Sahara Sand, Basic Black and Very Vanilla. I found Tip Top Taupe is a great coordinating colour and I have used Blushing Bride as my pink. I have stamped directly onto one pattern of the paper, used another pattern for the scallop mat, another under the lace and twine, and that final beautiful rose pattern for the main layer. I have seen some lovely cards where the roses have been coloured with sponge daubers and ink, but I thought I'd start with them 'a la natural today'.

You might also spy one of the new adhesive metal rimmed pearls (these are flat back) in the centre of my flower. My greeting is from a great new thankyou set called One Big Meaning. You can view all the products I have used today in the links below.

Project Life Stampin' Up!: New Moments Like This Kit Blog Hop

Hello there. Something a little bit different for you today, Project Life memory keeping with the Memory Keeping with Project Life Stampin' Up! (MKPLSU) Design Team girls around the world.

Moments Like This is one of the great new card kits (with matching accessories and stamp set) in the 2015/16 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. The colours are a very on trend Gold Foil, white, black, Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder.

My sister was kind enough to wear a watermelon coloured jacket to our recent family reunion on my Perth holiday, which made these photos perfect to scrap with this kit. Thanks, sis!

I had fun choosing the cards and using the accessory pack to customise some of the cards using the trendy stickers and sequins. My title, and a couple of the phrases (I had to include "family is everything" as I say that all the time to my boys) and strip journaling were done using my computer. Really happy how these pages turned out.

For the title, I also added some stamping, by using the matching stamp set to stamp the day of the week in Mint Macaron. I also added some cardstock to this card. One of the great benefits of using Stampin' Up! cards is the catalogue tells you which of our cardstock colours perfectly match the card sets.

Stampin' Up! Amazing Birthday for SB107

Hello! I was so inspired by Sandi's gold and Mint Macaron colour scheme in last weeks Stamping and Blogging Design Team card, that I had to try out the same. I've used Stampin' Up!'s Amazing Birthday stamp set for this week's card.

I have to be honest, apart from the colour scheme, I really struggled getting the balance on this card right. In the end the only way I was remotely happy was to shorten the card a bit.

Here's the colour scheme which was inspired by Sandi MacIver (links to her two blogs below).
