Stampin' Up! Vintage Birthday Card for SB94

Hello stamping friends!

It's my Mum's birthday this week, so I wanted to make her something special. I combined lots of bits and pieces from various kits and embellishments, and based it (roughly!) on this weeks Stamping and Blogging Design Team sketch, SB94.

Stampin Up Vintage Birthday card using Butterfly basics and Sheer Perfection Vellum by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

To create a vintage feel on this card I've used all sorts of bits and pieces from the Stampin' Up! range. The base card and heart are left over from the Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit (click on the links at the end of the post to see in my online store). I sanded the base card a little to give a more distressed look. Then there's the vintage must have - Typepad Designer Series Paper, Tea Lace Doilies and little bits and pieces from the Artisan Embellishment kit. I also cut out and used one of the Vellum butterflies in the Sheer Perfection Designer Printed Vellum (one of the new Saleabration items released this week - earn a pack of 24 6x6 sheets free with a $90 order before March 31st). My greeting is from Butterfly Basics Stamp Set, a great vintage set. Then to finish the card off I used some Gold/Natural Bakers Twine and ties a little scrap of Sahara Sand Lace Trim on there too. I cut a 3" piece in half along the centre of the width, and then tied one of the pieces on. The messier the better when it come to vintage! Here's a closer look at some of the embellishments.
