Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree for a Sparkly Christmas Card

Hello, time for another Stamping and Blogging sketch challenge blog hop with the design team girls around the world. I really look forward to seeing what they are up to each week. For today's card I have gone for a very traditional Christmas card, using one of my favourite techniques to add sparkle. Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree stamp set is a perfect set for a traditional Christmas card. You can link to all of the products I have used from my Online Stampin' Up! store by using the scrolling links at the end of the post.

My base cardstock is the Under the Tree Speciality DSP, which is a fabulous weight to use for Christmas cards. It has patterns of traditional Crumb Cake with either Early Espresso, Garden Green or Cherry Cobbler on one side, and white on Crumb Cake on the reverse, which is perfect for the inside of cards.

To achieve the sparkly panel, I:

  1. Stamped the image using Mossy Meadow (and stamped off a couple of times around the main image).
  2. I then cut the panel to the size I wanted it, and covered the whole panel in Versamark ink applying the ink pad directly to the stamped panel.
  3. I then sprinkled Stampin' Up!'s Heat and Stick powder over the whole image and shook off the excess.
  4. I heated tat with my Heat Tool and while it was still hot, I sprinkled Stampin' Up! Dazzling Diamonds over the top.
  5. Finally I shook off the excess glitter, and then gave it a quick blast with my heat gun to set it (just a very quick blast - maybe 10-15 seconds over the whole image).

I have used the three little words Peace, Love and Joy from the many Merry Stars stamp set. These were stamped in Early Espresso onto scraps of the DSP.

Finally I tied a combination of Cherry Cobbler sheer linen ribbon, lace and linen thread with some wood veneer leaves to finish the card.

Stampin' Up! Flower Patch and Flower Fair Framelits Congratulations Card

Hello there.

A quick share today of a congrats card using the lovely Flower Patch stamp set and matching Flower Fair Framelits from the Stampin' Up! 2014 Annual Catalogue (links to my online store for all products used is at the end of my post).

I'm a bit annoyed with myself for the greeting not being straight :( I liked how my colours turned out though: Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral and Smoky Slate. I am LOVING Smoky Slate (the lighter of the two greys) right now.

Framelits make it so easy to have precision cutting. The matching Flower Flair Framelits for this stamp set are super east to line up using the magnetic platform. I have also used the Banner Framelits, and the Large Polka Dot embossing folder with my BigShot. You can check all the supplies out below my signature.

I hope you enjoy today's card.

See you back here tomorrow,

Claire

Stampin' Up! Project Life Gratitude Page with some PL Stampin' friends

I have something a little different for you today: a Project Life style scrapbook page celebrating Gratitude. This is our monthly challenge over on the Memory Keeping with Project Life Stampin' Up! Facebook Group (MKPLSU), and I have some lovely Stampin' Up! Demonstrator friends from around the world participating, and you can visit them too.

Scrapbooking is very much about journalling to me, and with a subject as close to my heart as being thankful, there was no stopping me! I decided to make the three 4x6 pockets journalling blocks and just journaled until they were full. That gave me room for 55 things. I stamped some of my individual thank you stamps in Smoky Slate over the top of the journalling, and mounted the journalling on cardstock to match the Everyday Adventure Card Collection. I also popped some In Color sequins into the journalling pockets and sealed the tops of those pockets using clear labels from the office store, so the sequins dont fall out. Sequins are great to add some interest to journalling pockets because you can move them around and still read the journalling! The rest of the pockets were filled with stamping, and quotes I love about being thankful and happy.

For these two pocket cars I started with blank grid cards. The stamps are all from Stampin' Up!'s Gratitude for Days stamp set (see links below) which is a photopolymer set and easy to place exactly where you want. On the top left of the photo card that is a combination of 2 stamps in the set, but I love how they work together. On the right hand side I have stamped 'gratitude' onto washi tape to highlight the word (used Stazon). The rest of the title was made with my dymo, which I haven't used for ages, but is good to mix things up a bit!

The two base cards here are from Stampin' Up!'s Everyday Adventure Card Collection. I've just added some patterned paper to the card on the left and some washi tape, rhinestones and a favourite Winnie the Pooh quote on the right hand card. On several of the cards I have hand-drawn a border using my project life journalling pens.

These are two more base cards from the Everyday Adventure set, with a couple of my favourite printable quotes from Pintrest. If there is anything you like, you can either buy directly in the online store or I am happy to take orders by email and phone too.

Stampin' Up! Holiday Home Christmas Card for Stamping and Blogging

How cute are these little houses in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Home stamp set? The set is a photopolymer one with lots of extra little bits and pieces to create cute Christmas scenes. It's perfect for paper piecing too. I've used this weeks sketch (SB80) from Stamping and Blogging to come up with today's card.

I've added some Christmas bling in the form of some rhinestones coloured with Blendabilities, glimmer paper and some gold twine. I think gold and Blackberry Bliss look fabulous together. You can view all the products I have used in the card using the links at the end of the post.
