Stampin' Up! Peaceful Petals and Blendabilities

Hello. Today's share is a card based on a layout of a card that was displayed on our Grand Vacation share day. I'm not sure who made the original card, it may have been one of the concept artists. BUT I wanted to show off the cute layout, so I reproduced it using Peaceful Petals. Unfortunately my twine came a little loose whist taking the photo - woops! I'm sure you get the idea though.

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Petals and Blendabilities

I've coloured the image from Peaceful Petals using our new alcohol markers, called Blendabilities. These are just on demonstrator preorder at the moment but are very close to being available to customers, so stay tuned.

Stampin' Up! Just Sayin' and Beach Hut Washi Tape for SB61

Hello lovelies, it's challenge time today over at Stamping and Blogging and I have a card to share with you featuring the Just Sayin' stamp set, matching Word Bubble Framelits and the lovely new Beach Hut Washi Tape.

I love the bright happy colours in this washi tape: Crushed Curry, Pool Party and Real Red. Washi tape makes for quick and easy card embellishment don't you think? You'll be able to purchase this set from next Tuesday when the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue for 2014 goes live in Australia, I'm so excited! I've also used the Just Sayin' Stamp Set and Word Bubble Framelits, and layered them within two ovals cut using the Oval Framelits. I have pierced around the outside using the Paper Piercer and the Occasions Paper Piercing Template. Finally I embellished with some adhesive rhinestones and a punched heart.

Here's this weeks sketch we had to work with. I decided to take a little creative twist with the washi tape placement!

Brushless watercolour technique using Stampin' Up! Peaceful Petals

Hello lovely people. Today's card share is a super simple technique that produces lovely watercolour look results.

Brushless Watercolour Technique using Stampin' Up! Peaceful Petals by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator melbourne Australia at www.clairedaly.typepad.com

To achieve this look I embossed the image from Stampin' Up! Peaceful Petals in gold embossing powder onto watercolour paper (it's important to use watercolour paper for this technique). Then I gave the image 3 quick sprays from a mister bottle held about 30cm away (make sure you place some scrap paper underneath!). Then I randomly dropped drops of Strawberry Slush and Rich Razzleberry re-inker which disperse on hitting the wet paper. I then let it dry (you can hurry it along with a heat tool and even a paper towel to sponge up some of the extra water.

My base card is Strawberry Slush and I stamped the same image onto the card in Strawberry Slush ink. My greeting also from Peaceful Petals) is gold embossed onto Very Vanilla cardstock.

I hope you have fun trying out this technique. If you would like to recreate this card, you can purchase these products in my online Stampin' Up! store. All the product links are below.

See you back here tomorrow with another share.

Stampin' Up! Blackberry Bliss, Moonlight DSP and Apothecary Art for SB90 Sketch Challenge

It's sketch challenge day, and today I get to show you a couple of the brand new Stampin' Up! in colours in action: Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey (both available July 1st).

Stampin' Up! Blackberry Bliss, Moonlight DSP and Apothecary Art for SB90. By Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia at www.clairedaly.typepad.com

Blackberry Bliss is such a deep rich colour, a darker Rich Razzleberry and it looks fabulous with gold, and also with Hello Honey, which is the combination featured in this Moonlight DSP Paper Stack (available July 1st). I've combined lots of gold with the cardstock and DSP, with gold foil cardstock and gold embossing using the fabulous Apothecary Art stamp set. I've added a gold accent using a die cut Little Leaves (on the retiring list but sadly sold out - another great die is coming soon though).

Make your own Project Life flair buttons using Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio software (free 30 day trial)

Anyone who loves Project Life will know what a cool addition adhesive flair type buttons are to your pages and journallng cards. Imagine if you could easily make your own in colours that coordinated with the Project Life by Stampin' Up! card kits. You can and this video and step by step tutorial I put together will show you how. First here's some of the buttons I made this afternoon.

To get started, watch this video showing you how I created the button bases in The My Digital Studio Software. If you don't have the software, I'll show you a link to download a free trial at the end of the post.

Once you have printed your PDF file out onto Whisper White cardstock, use the stampin' up! 1.25" circle punch to cut out your circles perfectly. You will then have the bases for your flair buttons.

The clear epoxy domes that go on top are very easily purchased. Just google 'clear epoxy circles' and you will see a variety of places selling them. I purchased 100 very cheaply. They adhere directly over the top of the circles you punched out.

Next you want to make the whole button adhesive. there are several ways you can do this - just use an adhesive each time, use a sticker maker, or my preferred way is to use the Stampin' Up! adhesive transfer sheets. You just peel back the top, attach the button cardstock side down, put the top layer over and rub. You could put all your buttons on there until you were ready to use them and they would just peel off.

Then they are ready to use on your Project Life projects. I have used my Subway one on this journalling card which is going in my NYC album.
