Scrapbooking and Mini Album Using Thinlits Card Dies
October 25, 2013
The Stampin' Up! Thinits Card Dies were released in Australia this week. We all know they make snazzy cards, but did you know you can make mini albums and scrapbook page elements with these too? Here's some projects I did for Stampin' Up! and the Scrapbooking Memories blog with a travel theme.
First up a 12x12 page with hidden journalling and photos:
and here it is open, showing the hidden sections (the bit clipped down, and the pull tab on the right hand side):
Next up, a photo mini album. Just love how this turned out!
All the extra little bits and pieces that go with the Thinlits dies are perfect for inside the album too.
I got the dimension in the custom alphabet, by cutting the letters out (using the Typeset Alphabet Die in my Bigshot) in chipboard first, and then in the coordinating cardstock and adhering them together. That way you can have custom chipboard letters in all the Stampin' Up! colours.
If you would like to recreate these projects, here are the Stampin' Up! Supplies I have used. You can purchase them by email, or in my online store. If you are making your first purchase in my online store, make sure you tick 'allow demonstrator to contact me' when you set up your profile. That way I can pass on all my cool customer only benefits!
