Trend: Hexagons using Afternoon Picnic DSP and a tip to use your ribbon scraps.
September 12, 2013
Hexagons are huge in crafting right now. In the 2013 Annual Catalogue Stampin' Up! released the Hexagon Punch and the matching Six Sided Sampler Stamp Set. There is also a super pretty DSP called Afternoon Picnic with a hexagon pattern included in the designs.
This paper features some of my absolute favourite Stampin' Up! Colours right now: Crushed Curry (how yummy is that Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon), Coastal Cabana, Wisteria Wonder and Smokey Slate.
Ribbon Tip: I keep off cuts of ribbon in a little bowl near my craft desk, so when I want to add some additional texture or colour to a card, I can tie little extra bits around the main ribbon I have used. In this sample I have used some crochet trim and Wisteria Wonder bakers twine that I had in my cut-offs bowl. Love this effect.
If you love the Hexagons, this Six Sided Sampler set and the matching Hexagon Punch are one of the items you can get a 15% discount on if you buy them in a bundle. See all the bundle offer on one page HERE.
Here's a quick run down of the main products used in this card:
Afternoon Picnic DSP (12 double sided sheets - 12x12)
Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon (9.1m)
Six Sided Sampler and Hexagon Punch Bundle
Have a great day and see you back here again tomorrow with another creation.
